A Tribute to Spalding Gray. On March 7, Gray was found dead in the East River in New York after a two-month disappearance. He was 62. Gray was best known for his autobiographical monologues, including Swimming to Cambodia, Monster in a Box and It’s a Slippery Slope. We feature excerpts from several of the interviews he recorded on Fresh Air.
