What is wrong with the man you are submitting to?
Sarah posed
this question recently in response to some negativity
she had gotten over at her blog, Submissive
Reflections (3/18/04 entry). Though I don't mean to
put words into her mouth, I think it was a rhetorical
question meant to stimulate thought along the lines of
'Though no one is perfect, most people tend to cast
those they love in the most flattering light.'
Still, I got
to thinking. . . .
Though TheBoss
is dark and handsome, he is not tall.
He had only
been involved in vanilla relationships before we got
together, so he is a very inexperienced Dom.
He's very
forgetful.
He has a
terrible sense of direction, though unlike other men
he will stop for directions.
He often
piles things up in chairs leaving us nowhere to sit.
He can be
quite a procrastinator which tempts me to nag.
He is an
atheist.
Left to his
own devices, he would happily do nothing but play computer
games all the time.
He eats meat,
poultry and fish. (I am a vegetarian.)
Sometimes
he snores.
He buys expensive
saws and other tools, then never builds anything.
He allows
me to manipulate him more often than he probably should.
Now having
said all that, I should also add that apart from the above
list he is every woman's fantasy come true. In fact he
has quite a fan club at my office. When he comes around
all the ladies flock around him. They ask me how I ever
found someone like him and why God didn't make more like
him.
He loves me
more than anyone ever has, more in fact than I'm capable
of understanding. He is extraordinarily hardworking, dedicated,
loyal, and sincere. He is so smart that I am often left
in slack-jawed amazement when he talks. He is an extraordinary
lover, always going out of his way to make me feel beautiful,
loved, and cherished.
He is my best
friend and my every dream come true. He's not perfect,
but I never wanted perfect anyway. Perfect people are
hard to live with and are not interested in flawed specimens
like myself.
So in response
to the question about what's wrong with my man, quite
a lot I suppose - but I love, respect, and admire him
just as he is. Thanks for the question Sarah.
Best
Blessings, --Invidia
