Because he was trolling here for a while the past couple of days, and because I've been having hours of unintended fun marveling at the continual lowering of the intellectual standards needed to make a complete (if nonsensical) sentence on ready display at his site, I thought I'd direct everyone back towards "Lying Liars", the "factcheck" on Al Franken with enough mind-boggling stupidity on a single page to keep TBogg busy for a week.

Posted by: Kristjan Wager at March 27, 2004 01:06 PMEven if Al Franken is actually wrong about some things there (and it doesn't look like he is--there's a disagreement over nuances), why on earth would someone spend so much time defending Bill Fucking O'Reilly? It's like being the world's number one Warrant fan.
Posted by: praktike at March 27, 2004 01:09 PMAnything that puts even a minor dimple in their bubble world is a serious threat that must be crushed immediately. By resorting to the last refuge of intellectuals--disproving with facts the fraudulent assertions of the right--Franken threatens every bubble boy on the planet.
Thus, defending O'Lieley is one of the first lines of defense for bubble-world dwellers.
Posted by: Derelict at March 27, 2004 01:13 PMIncidentally, one has to marvel at his grasp of geography. By his definitiion, all of Nassau County and a substantial portion of Suffolk County are "Levittown." If we accept this definition (based on the idea that Levit homes were built in widely displaced locales on Long Island), we say with equal accuracy that someone who grew up in suburban Atlanta actually grew up in Daytona Beach, Florida because Cardinal Homes have been built in both places.
The world is a wonderful, magical place when reality is whatever you choose to make it any any given moment!
Posted by: Derelict at March 27, 2004 01:22 PMSo far as I can tell, LyingLiars misses the most glaring error in Franken's book: he says Max Cleland lost his limbs to a VC grenade. It was an American grenade, accidentally dropped.
Actually, didn't Franken admit this was wrong? Was it corrected in subsequent printings?
Posted by: Grumpy at March 27, 2004 01:29 PMI'm beginning to wonder if this site is actually a parody.

...or running a Jonah Goldberg fan site.

Posted by: filkertom at March 27, 2004 07:43 PMIs this a guy that you really want to waste time defending?
