3:35am:
I uploaded the best song in the world since some of you may not have heard it. And I haven't updated this beast in a while, so I figured cross-posting it would settle in lieu of actual content. Oh, yeah, if you see me online tomorrow afternoon at anytime, please, please remind me to call Dylan's mom. I haven't had any chance to get in touch with her at a decent hour recently, and I really wanna know if she's heard anything.

4:17am:
I don't feel like editing that entry, but I think I should make a new one. I don't really know why, per se, but I do, and so I am. This is a new entry. What's been happening lately?
New job at the grocery store. The ol' supermarket, if you will. It's not the most exciting or the most fun or exciting or fun at all. But I'll tell you what it is: it's goddamned easy. I just stand there and move shit across a little scanner all day and I make the same small talk with different people all day. And I get paid. And when things are slow, my co-workers are pretty much all cool. And my bosses, oh the hundreds of managers and customer service people and supervisors and oh so many bosses, they're all pretty cool.
I haven't done anything particularly fun lately. I've seen Nathan a few times, seen Chris for a little bit one day, and that's all. Hopefully I'll make time to do something this weekend.
I've also seen Dawn of the Dead, which is kick-ass. And I've... no, that's all I've done. But no torture, no cherry orchard here. And if there were, I'd be pickin' the fuck out of one. Because I can honestly say I'm not not a happy man. It's pretty inexplicable. I guess it's related to having something filling the days up. Or maybe it's having a reason to form big plans, big plans. There are a million things.
Now I just need people to do things with. So it goes.
4:12am:
Right, so it strikes me that a million people out there haven't heard this, so I'm gonna do my part to correct you fools. Get on that.

Everyone watch 60 Minutes tonight, particularly the Paul O'Neill interview.
2:08am: Willpower.
The very idea doesn't make any sense to me. I mean, I know what the deal and I've seen it in action, but it just isn't a very logical thing. I guess it's so foreign to me because I've never really struggled with doing or quitting anything and thus had to will my desires. That's part of it, but I guess the biggest thing that I don't understand how anyone can have such little control over their actions or mindset that they'd need to literally fight with themself about doing something they want to do for whatever reason.
Take smoking, since it's pretty prominent in how people can't seem to quit despite promises and such. I can't figure out how it's so hard to go a week getting cravings. I mean, sure they're bad (How bad? Well, bing that I've never had 'em, I dunno, and that's on an individual basis, anyhow.) and sure it's tough, but is it really that hard to not drive to the store, ask and pay for cigarettes, then smoke them? I mean, really? It seems like, at least for people short on cash, it wouldn't be that hard to not grab your wallet. Or to say, "Hey, I've got ten bucks left. Why should I spend five of it on cigarettes?"
Can someone please explain to me what it is about things that make them so hard to quit or, in some cases, start? And why it's so hard to just not?

2:49am: Yes, I am a pirate. 200 years too late.
The beach wasn't so bad. And by that I mean it was pretty damned nice. The weather was good and the place we stayed was nice. Patrick and I came home early because it was just the two of us left there, and home's the money.
Tried something new and am not entirely sure about it. I'll try it at least once more.
Dylan's back. Everyone's back. Need to hang out with Alex some while he's in town, as well.
Dunno how much more there is.
P.S. "The origins of the Russian language began with Common Slavonic, spoken in the present day Ukraine and Poland. The use of Common Slavonic continued until about 900 a.d. with few changes in dialect. Common Slavonic is part of the family of languages known as Proto-Indo-European and is related to Baltic languages, Greek and Latin."
"The sixth century AD saw the migration of the Slav people from old Poland. The Slavs expanded westwards to the river Elbe and southwards to the Adriatic sea where they gradually occupied much of the Balkans ... By the tenth century, three Slavonic language groups had emerged: Western, Southern and Eastern. Eastern Slavonic gave rise to the modern languages known as Ukranian, Belorussian and Russian. The Slavonic languages retained many features in common especially in grammatical structure, therefore the separate groups were able to use one common written language. This language was known as Old Slavonic or Old Church Slavonic (the language was used in its written form only)."
I'll bring more as necessary.

3:17pm:
So I finally got around to attempting to register. I've only got nine hours now, and I can't get the other eight in until after I've finished AHS, because I have to qualify for math, and I have to have math pre-requisites for any sciences other than Biology and Astronomy, both of which are full. Here's hopin' Chemistry'll still be available. If it's not, I'll be picking up my second English and some bullshit math for Spring. Then summer will suck it down pretty hard because I'll need math and two sciences, subjects I'm guaranteed to hate. But... I'd really only need those three credits for a transfer, then. So why the fuck am I setting this semester up for 17 hours and the next one up for nine? Hell if I know, but that's the way it is, so back off. Wubba.

3:07am: How did I get here?
To bring back a classic, this year has been a good day. In Earth Science I responded to a question about dumpng sludge in the ocean by saying it's a bad idea because of the high risk of a Godzilla. I got a 100. Then the rest of school, then home. Then Dune, then nap. Then chillin'.
I guess today's really not been all that good. I had some candy, though. Oh, and I register for class tomorrow. Or now, because I could go ahead and do it online. I think I wanna go talk to the counselor first.
Oh, and Patrick and I had the best conversation in the history of AIM.
It's shit like this that makes me realize how important I am to the survival of humanity. (Very.)
