Police continued their search Thursday for a suspect in the mysterious disappearance of a University of Wisconsin student from Minnesota, holding a news conference late in the day to insist the hunt was still on.

Helder found incompetent to stand trial
Luke Helder, the former college student accused of planting pipe bombs in mailboxes across the Midwest nearly two years ago, was declared incompetent to stand trial Thursday by a federal judge.
