ACTIVISM THROUGH MUSIC

Tommy Kelly

17 year old Tommy Kelly disappeared on January 26, 1999.

A year and a half later, Tommy's body was recovered in
a 20'x30' patch of blackberry bushes. In his honor,
Tommy's parents, Tom and Vicki Kelly, and his sister
Dannielle, have created The Tommy Foundation.

This tax exempt foundation addresses the issue of missing children by bringing this issue into the public's awareness in media, public presentations, a digital fingerprinting and photo child ID program, and empowering parents with information on what to do if their child is missing.

EVERY 40 SECONDS A CHILD IS REPORTED MISSING

The Tommy Foundation believes in Activism Through Music, and toward this goal the foundation has been honored to have the following artists sign acoustic guitars to be publicly auctioned.

The Moody Blues, Crosby, Stills, & Nash, Blue Oyster Cult, Alice Cooper original band members, Taj Mahal, Commander Cody, Elvin Bishop, Lydia Pense of Cold Blood, Huey Lewis and the News, The Sons of Champlin, Tower of Power, The B52's, Mike Love and Bruce Johnson of the Beach Boys, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Pat Benatar, Anne & Nancy Wilson of Heart, Grand Funk Railroad, the Whalers, Earth Wind & Fire, FogHat, America, Insane Clown Posse, Craig Chaquisco from Jefferson StarShip, Eric Burdon, Leon Russell, Donovan, and Mickey Hart of The Grateful Dead.

In cooperation with The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children the foundation has been given permission, from Justin Hayward of The Moody Blues, for use of the chorus from their song: I Know You're Out There Somewhere as the music for a Tommy Foundation public service announcement.
