Does anyone have any idea where I can find information on renting any of the lofts/apartments in downtown Provo (you know just the places above some of the businesses).

I'm NOT in Provo right now and I'm finding that I keep coming to dead ends.

ANY information would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hey all you Utahns!

The SLC Women's Rugby Team is looking for some fresh meat...er...I mean new players.
We don't care if you've never picked up a rugby ball in your life. Just come on down to Sugarhouse park Mondays and Thursdays at 5:30 and learn the game.

If your big, small, fast, slow, there are litterally positions and uses for women at every fitness level.

It's a lot of fun, and a great way to stay in shape.

If you have any questions, please comment here.

Thanks!

So what's the deal?

Do I have to start mail ordering hot goth chicks into SLC?

I've known pretty much everyone in the scene here for over 5 years and have no interest in dating any of them.

It's the Catch 22 of being single I guess.

art store inquiry redux [08 Oct 2004|01:19pm]

juusan
having come from the sf bay area, I'm used to big, beautiful art stores like flax. I've found a few shops around here, such as reuel's downtown and utrecht in sugarhouse, but nothing compares to the huge megacenters of creative goodness that I've grown used to in the bay.

are there any really big, neato art store in all of utah? at this point I'd be willing to drive a decent distance.

Hi everyone,

This is totally offtopic, but since this is list has many females, and EVERYONE has friends/relatives that are women, all of us are effected by this..

My good friend Regina has organized a Making Strides for Breast Cancer team in honor of her mother and in memory of her grandmother. We came up with the name Team MiGi (Everyone calls Regina Gigi, and her mom's nick name is Mimi, so it seemed to fit.) We're going to be walking as part of the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer benefit near Clove Lake Park in Staten Island on Sunday, October 17 - below is the link to join the team if you want and live/will be in the area, or to be one of the sponsors if you want, or to just forward this to your other friends to help raise awareness. You can donate as little as $1 if you want -- and every single cent will go toward the cause. Everyone who knows me knows I love to promote things important to me and organizing events -- this is an extrordinarly important cause, and directly effects people I know and care about, so I really want to do something especially meaningful this time. I'm going to act as co-captain of her team and spread this to all my friends, online and off. Any help you can give us spreading the word would be amazing.

The money we raise funds the Societys research, education, advocacy, and patient services programs. Im proud to support these efforts by walking in Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. You can support them too by making a donation today. Its easy; simply log on to my personal Web page and pledge as much as you can. Together, we will make a lifesaving difference in the lives of women everywhere!

The below link will have all the further info:

Open Mic? [27 Sep 2004|04:11pm]

hotpanfrances
Hey, I'm wondering if there's a decent open mic around town. The less Dave Matthews covers I have to sit through, the better. A nice musical variety would also be nice, but I think I'm already on thin ice with the no Dave Matthews thing.
