another Good Thing is the people we have come into contact with via the medium of keyboard and cathode ray tube… here are some personal sites you may already know, or maybe not…
m o r e →Like most SPs, I’m not too keen on the Empire’s blunderings. But in the interests of equal time, we should acknowledge that getting rid of Saddam was a Good Thing. Here’s a lovely little tale that illustrates this.
No, I’m not quite sure why I posted this either.
Maybe it’s funny animals day or something.
Oh well, caption contest anyone?
A very rare mounted Tunny (Blue Fin Tuna) head, mounted onto an oak shield wall plaque with applied oval legend plaque “763lb Tunny Killed on September 10th 1933 by George Barker 25 miles off Scarborough after 4hours 55mins, Winning Paul Latham Trophy and Hardy Cup for Best Fish of the Year on Rod and 54 Thread Line”, 44in high…

I used to believe that a return to the gold standard was necessary to curb government abuse of currencies, but I have come to think that all we really need is the freedom to choose our own currencies. In a free market, those of us who believe that gold is a superior currency to fiat money could open accounts with e-gold (e-gold.com) or Gold Money (goldmoney.com), for example, and manage our affairs as we see fit. The establishment of gold-backed, electronic currencies such as these is definitely the first step in the right direction, although the gold-money industry is still in its infancy.

Recent Anti Terrorism and Defence Exercises on Oil and Gas installations in the TIMOR GAP betray Australian priorities in the region.
What I am getting at here is that Western Governments are acting more and more like Corporations & Racketeers i.e. they are running
‘Hidden Agendas’.
When found out the stock answer is that they are/were acting in
‘The National Interest’.
Hidden Agendas, however, have a fatal side effect. They foster fear and mistrust, to which our neighbors often attest.

m o r e →I just had a very entertaining interview with a really interesting company in Bristol. Naturally, I made one or two errors and rubbed my interviewers up the wrong way at moments; I do this sometimes, and must learn small talk and the retention of my more stupid comments. One day.
One of the areas in which I feel I caused friction was when I outlined my intense desire to avoid big companies, corporations, and evil babylonian lobbying blood-sucking profit obssessed pseudo-decent capitalist institutions. I have found that companies have variable thresholds beyond which reasonableness and honour and decency cannot exist, as the lumbering beast must be fed and ‘rational’ capitalist decisions must be made… I should have shut my mouth. For a change.
My interviewer astutely asked what I would do when this particular company became ‘big’. Good question. I am cornered. I like him. I fall into his perfectly timed heffalump trap.
