Back in Action

So... In case you couldn't tell, I have been sans site lately. Just a issue of renewal, people not answering quetions in time, and blah blah blah...

So what did you miss? Well, let's see.. Easter in the park with the nuns.. Me being all stuffed up, and exhausted, me still being al stuffed up,and

Oh yeah.. I had a date. Actually I just returned from my second date with the same guy. Let's just call him Bunni shall we?

Nice guy, sexy as hell, smart, politically active, spiritual in his way, and oh did I mention sexy? He is challenging to me for many reasons, including the fact that he isn't sure he can be monogamous. It isn't really an issue at this point, but there is a siren going off that it will be a problem later. So he is a great kisser, and um... he likes to nibble my neck..

:-) that is all I am gonna share now.. but let's just say I got a little giddy feeling, and kinda sweet sappy stuff going on.. Just ignore me, I will be over here in the corner humming silly love songs..

Catching up

This is what I have been contemplating from Chaplaincy Training lately.

The 18 Principal Insights:

1: Consideration of Transience leaves behind false perception of Permanence.
2: Contemplation of Dissatisfaction abrogates wrong perception of Pleasure.
3: Consideration of Impersonality cuts off erroneous perception of Identity.
4: Contemplation of Disgust reduces the detrimental greed within any Lust.
5: Consideration of Disillusion dampens the Craving inherent in any Delight.
6: Contemplation of Ceasing Stopping & Ending eliminates Initiation of new.
7: Consideration of Relinquishing reduces the panic inherent in any Clinging.
8: Contemplation of the inevitable Decay ends perception of Compactness.
9: Consideration of the Vanishing reduces wrong perception of Accumulation.
10: Contemplation of Change abrogates the misleading perception of Stability.
11: Consideration of the Signless leaves the notion of an Entity of Substance.
12: Contemplation of Desirelessness abandons the purpose of any Longing.
13: Consideration of Emptiness stops insisting on assuming an existing 'Self'.
14: Insight into Higher Understanding gives up assuming an existing 'Core'.
15: Seeing & knowing how it really develops overcomes any blinding Confusion.
16: Contemplation of the inherent Danger conquers reliance on False Safety.
17: Consideration of Reflection counteract the risk following Careless Neglect.
18: Contemplation of Turning Away breaks the bars of mental Bondage.

Unattracted; Unrepulsed; Unbound & Unestablished there is Absolute Freedom!

Speaking of class, etc. I am getting quite the library put together... but for some reason a few books weren't marked as bought by my wishlist I went in and marked them with a priority of 5 - Don't buy this for me so that people know I already have them... I didn't want to take them off the list, cause I think everyone should buy themselves a copy of all of these books. I have yet to read any of them, which I don't want to read again, nor that I didn't really get something great from. Latest one is Hooked which as a recovering addict/alcoholic I am finding really interesting. Not sure I agree with everything, but I love having the ability to question myself, and clarify what I really believe about recovery.

We live in a society where questioning someone or something is suppose to be bad. I disagree. I think conflict and disagreement is wonderful. I love having to confirm what I believe almost as much as I love finding out I was wrong. Changing my mind is one of the greatest gifts I have been given over the years.
