Date: 10 January 2004 Summary: Stay away, it's Cat in The hat BAD.
I saw this film last summer in New York City in a private screening that
a
friend of mine invited me to while I was on vacation. The movie is
horrible
and its not even remotely funny at all. This is Ben Stiller worse film
hands
down, and this movie will also prove that Jack Black only clam to fame is
going to be School of Rock because he is so utterly annoying in this
movie.
Christopher Walken adds another bad movie to his resume, and he is almost
as
bad as Stiller. To be real honest, Rachel Weisz gives the best performance
out of all of them because she at least plays her part strait with some
shred of decency. Which is sad because she is barely in this movie to
begin
with, and it could have used much more of her decency to make this a much
better film than it really is.
The biggest fault the movie has is that it spends way too much time to the
stupid and very unfunny infighting between Stiller and Black other than to
make an effort at trying to be funny at all.
It was a very painful experience to sit though and i saw it for free,
Imagine if you were paying to see it at a theater.
Stay away, and bang your head against a wall. That more fun than sitting
though this movie.
