Above all, I live by the tenets of having fun, getting what you want, and not worrying. I use my journal as a forum for various cheesy articles meant to discuss the finer points of film, music, cars, love, crappy jobs and life itself. Feel free to add me as a friend; I'll add you. If you want to comment on something I've written, do it. I love any kind of feedback, even if it's misspelled.
I'm a strong proponent of the renaissance man lifestyle, or, as some call it, "renaissancemandom." (RMD for short.) I occasionally write RMD-centric material; if you're an aspiring renaissance man/woman, I've got the info you want.
Reviewing is my strong suit, as you may have noticed from a glance at my archives. I've written for numerous sites, publications and journals, Turbografx-16.com, and the Gaucho Free Press being up next.

I'm a DJ at KCSB, UC Santa Barbara's radio station. Feel free to check out my show, Colin's Bachelor Pad, (playing only the finest in classic, contemporary, crossover and hybrid jazz) on Tuesdays from 4:00 AM to 6:00 AM PST. If you're in the Southern California (Santa Barbara county) area, tune in to 91.9 on your radio. Otherwise, listen via webcast, no matter where you are! I've only been at it a little while, but I can honestly say I truly love DJing. If you're at all inclined toward music, talking and multitasking, why not pursue an interest in the field yourself? Chances are there's a college and/or volunteer radio station near you, and most of them don't require you to be a student. (It helps, though.) |
