Coheed And Cambria - Hearshot Kid Disaster |
] |
Yesterday's Coheed and Cambria concert wrapped up a CRAPTASTIC week...that super sucked but luckily, the co&ca; show was what got me through it . School is over but I still have 2 essays and 2 exams left to go (and I still gotta go to work for that service bursary job, bah!). But at least classes are ALL OVER.
I went to the Coheed show at The Phoenix yesterday. Opening up for them was Brazil, Funeral For a Friend and Rainer Maria. FFAR and Rainer Maria were good but COHEED REALLY rocked. They played, in no particular order: In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3, Three Evils (Embodied in Love and Shadow), Devil in Jersey City, Delirium Trigger, A Favor House Atlantic, The Velourium Camper I: Faint of Hearts, The Velourium Camper III: Al the Killer, The Crowing, Blood Red Summer, Time Consumer and Everything Evil. Unfortunately, they didn't play The Light & The Glass, which is one of my favourite songs on IKSOSE.
I also had the most horrendous washroom experience last night. *shudders* One of the "ladies" washrooms there, that was apparently a men's washroom before as it had urinals in there, was utterly disgusting. But when you gotta go, you gotta go. I just feel sorry for the custodian staff at The Phoenix.
I also ended up buying a t-shirt. The one I wanted was the "Dragonfly" one or the one with the design on my LJ icon but they didn't have my size. So I got this "Keywork" one instead.
I got it in Youth Large (cause last time at the TBS show, I bought a small and it turned out a wee bit too big) and the shirt fits fine except the sleeves are so flippin' long. I have to get around to hemming it but I'm scared I'll screw it up. I also liked the hoodie they had available but sadly, I didn't have $40 with me =( And if I hadn't spent that $6.50 on Smirnoff, I probably could've (later on) bought stickers and whatnot that they had available.
So yes, it turned out to be a good night even though it was raining most of last night and I HATE RAIN (rain = worms). Rain puts me in a bad mood, generally speaking.
p.s. there were WAY too many scene kids there. I felt like I was in a sea of emo glasses, studded belts, chucks, band tshirts (of OTHER bands, because it's an unwritten rule to NEVER wear a shirt of the band you're there to see), and quite a lot of stretched ears - it was like a page right out of "How to Dress Emo".
