About: | And Your Point Is...?RULES*Please note these zines aren't sent to just one certain group of individuals but spread widely throughout the country to many different people and with different backgrounds. 2. Racial, Homophobic, Sexism, or any other views of the same sort, are allowed to be expressed in articles. They ARE NOT allowed to be directed at anyone in the community, or used as an insult to any singled out individual. *I allow these views into this zine because I don't want to limit it's views and ideas to just one politically correct format. But also remember if you express these views be prepared for a BIG backlash! 3. Words that insult a writer's intellegents are NOT to be used! This zine isn't about making the other person sound stupid, but more about making the other person's eyes a little wider! 4. Don't get upset if certain articles don't make it into the zine, doing this zine before I would get tons of replies and tons of articles. It is nearly impossible to fit everything in a montly zine. But I do email or snail mail all replies that were sent about your article straight to you, and if the person who replies agrees to let you have their info you two can continue your debate. *Remember if this happens it's always great to save all replies and sent letters, because once every 6 months I make a special issue dedicated to just one article that got the most replies and entitle it "So That's What Your Point Was..!" It's kind of like the little reward show of my zine. As cheezy as that sounds! But that issue has always gotten tons of great reviews! 5. Grammar, grammar, grammar.. you know it makes me so sad when a perfectly great debate topic is wasted because people are to busy insulting one's grammar. This isn't high school we're not on a grading scale. All replies or articles dedicated to the grammar skills of a fellow member or writer, is going to automatically be thrown in the trash. 6. Don't limit yourself... don't worry about what the other viewers are going to think or what type of replies you're going to get.. if you feel it write it! Also don't limit yourself to just writing about one certain thing.. if you're a political writer why not try your hand at emotional. Vice Versa. I love diversity, and the writer who can give me diversity is the writer whose articles I get excited to recieve! 7.Rants and Raves are allowed as long as they add up to something. A rant and rave that adds to nothing is just a waste of words! 8.Don't get your panties in a bunch.. you know if you write for a zine whose main purpose is to start debate and/or just question ones beliefs, you are going to get a backlash. Please be open to people who are going to tell you, you are completly wrong! If you can't deal with that then don't write for this zine! WHAT THIS ZINE NEEDS</h1Writers!! Lots of them! Artist!! Someone who can express themselves with art and take criticism. Reviewers: Music Reviewers~ (Right now at the moment, just 1)I make a cd of new music stemming up could be mainstream could be underground, and I need someone with an honest open minded opinion! Zine Reviewers~ (Two at this time)I send this zine out to many other zines so they can review our work, in return they do the same.. it's only fair we give them a fair verdict! I need someone with a lot of extra time on their hands and a real love of zines! Also with a general idea of the workings of a zine. Would love an old zinester! Also looking for someone to help me run this community I would hope it is someone in the same area as me so we can get together work on the cut and paste together. | |
