Hello...you don't know how happy I am to know that this community exists! I'm just like every other member...remember watching as a little girl, getting totally freaked out by Karuku, getting weird looks when I try to describe Unico to others. It is a relief to know that I'm not alone.

I'm a new member here. I've been a fan of Unico for as long as I can remember, my favorite Unico movie has always been The Fantastic Adventures Of Unico, the times when he turns in an adult unicorn are so very pretty!
I also happen to own all three volumes of the japanese Unico manga..I've been thinking of making some icons out of many of the pictures from them if anyone would like some as well and will credit me for the pictures...A sample:

Hey, me again..
Well, I found some great sites that offer custom plates, cups, napkins and balloons and the photo cake someone suggested was a great idea, but I need help..
I'm looking all over the place and can't seem to find clipart of Unico.. Every site I go to is out of order.
Anyone know where to find nice fanart or movie clipart?

This might be old news but, it certainly excited me.
This site has both of the Unico movies, digitally-remastered on DVD, from what I assume is officially Sanrio. I think it's legit, and I just ordered it. ^_^ I've seen one or two floating around on eBay also, but otherwise it's pretty scarce.

hello!
i've been a fan of unico since the mid 80's.
me and my sister grew up watching Devil of Solitude and Isle of Magic.
all i can say was that for many years afterwards, i had nightmares about lord kuruku.

Ive been a huge unico fan ever since i was very little, And i still watch it to this day. I love everything about it. Unico and the island of magic has to be one of my all time faveroite movies - ever.

I was so excited to see this community up. Unico was also my first anime ever, and I spent almost 14 years hunting it down.
It was bizarre, really: for years I had these lingering memories of a boy named Toby who played the flute and turned people into puppets, but I couldn't remember what it was called! Finally I spent an entire afternoon searching with random descriptive keywords, and I found out that the movie I'd seen as a child was Unico in the Island of Magic. I tracked down a copy of the movie on Ebay and watched it for first time since my childhood... and eerily, I started singing Toby's theme before he even began playing!
And in a weird twist of fate - and just one way I believe Unico influenced me so strongly as a child - guess what I'm majoring in? Flute performance. Perhaps watching Unico when I was so young was what made me play the flute and devote my life to it.
Anyone else experience a strange coincidence like this? :)

i'm so glad i found this commuinty. unico rocks. and i never knew anybody knew about unico besides me. uncio was my first anime I watched when I was little besides kiki's delivery service.
i still have the first unico tape. is that worth anything? its the one where he first starts off and the puppet dude is in it. and yadada. welll hello everyone. my name is nire. i love unico.

I saw this comic on ebay today, a unico manga comic in japanese. there was a girl like unico on it. who is this girl? is she in any of the movies? all i ever saw was Fantastic Adventures of Unico on disney when i was around 4.

Word. Newbie.
You know, I seriously thought I had made up Unico when I was young. I can sort of remember the last scene of one movie (I forget the name) where the witch lady that has turned people into puppets has her castle in the air and she's so moved by Unico's love that something happens to her... I can't remember. But I know there was something chasing Unico and it scared the crap out of me. Can anyone clear my foggy memory? It's been so long....

Hello! I was more than delighted to find that there's finally a community dedicated to Unico and his fans. I first saw the Fantastic Adventures of Unico at an indeterminate but very young age when my mom taped it off the Disney Channel (I think) for me. After a few years, I lost the tape and began to question if I ever watched it at all. No one ever seemed to know what I was talking about and the information of Unico on the web was highly limited. But eventually I found another fan who had a copy of Unico and then another fan who had Unico and the Island of Magic.
I still prefer Fantastic Adventures to the Island of Magic, but I'm dying to see the third one. Does anyone know the title?
And here's a pic from last year when my friend bought me a Unico and Katy mousepad off of Ebay.

Hello everyone! I'm a new member. :)
I've loved Unico for ages. My sister and I rented the first movie at our local video store while growing up, and we then found out that another video store had another Unico movie, so we would constantly go back and forth to each video store to rent each movie. When one of the video stores went out of business, I was fortunate to buy their copy of The Fantastic Adventures of Unico for a few bucks. I recently bought a copy of the Island of Magic on Ebay. My other Unico possession is a sticker that I got on my bag at the Sanrio store years and years ago when Sanrio was still able to sell Unico stuff. Unico was also my first anime. I showed my copy of the Fantastic Adventures of Unico to some friends at college once, and they hated it. I don't understand that! (I think they were very upset about the state of Beezil at the end.)
Anyway, I just wanted to introduce myself!
