| Bio: | I could tell you where I was born (Trinidad, West Indies;) how many sibs I have (three) and the names by which I'm known. But that wouldn't tell you a thing about me. So let me tell you, instead, about the girl who lives in my skin.
She's a dancer in starlight, a moonlight swimmer, an explorer of back roads, a wanderer of night-time beaches, and a stubborn holder-to-her-own-theories. She's mostly happy, she's got a quick mind and a hot but slow temper, she's got a thing for the taste of freedom. She loves dreaming, she survives no matter what, she learns and loves the learning even when the lessons hurt. She thinks communication is a drug, and words are her chosen method of delivery. She doesn't always take herself seriously, and is sure that she should do that even less often than she does. She laughs often, loves easily and fiercely, and hasn't quite gotten the hang of letting go. She believes in life, love, music, magic, the beauty and potential of the human spirit, and herself. She knows life isn't all roses and sunshine, but figures that that's a good excuse to bathe in the moonlight and plant flowers whenever she gets the chance.
Beyond that? Well, I'm still figuring that out. Along the way to figuring that out, though, I've had three wonderful kids to keep me from turning inward too often, more jobs in more fields than I ever thought possible... and a great deal of laughter, tears, and everything in-between. All in all, I suppose, what I've got is enough to let me know I'm lucky, and enough to know that there's more out there to be had. That makes for interesting times, in the most wonderful ways.
Please don't feel slighted if I don't comment often -- I go through swings and phases, and this seems to be a quiet time. I'm also horrid at introductions -- but if I friended you, there was only one reason, and that was that you interested me and I wanted to read more. It's a declaration, not an obligation on your part; I am by no means everyone's cup of tea, and I'm quite all right with that.
