| About: | This is a collective community journal focusing on modern feminism & feminist issues. It is a safe space in which these things can be discussed.
This is not a community focussed on debating the merits of a particular gender. We believe in equality between the sexes. Human stupidity and human genius are not confined to any one sex. Posts debating this matter will be considered off-topic and posters who are divisive in this matter will be removed from the community.
Currently membership is closed. Please make your requests to join by posting a reply to one of Verbminx's posts. She will get back to you as soon as she can. Note: the mailbox associated with this community is a spamtrap. Mail sent there is seldom read. It is NOT a good way to contact the community's admin.
The Rules:
1) Be respectful and polite. Different perspectives on feminist issues and the nature of feminism itself will be discussed here. Do not join the "oppression olympics," please. If you disagree with something the moderators have said/done, you are cordially invited to use the "leave community" function above. Namecalling will result in it being done for you (see "be respectful and polite", above).
2) Do not borrow trouble. If you have seen something in another journal or community that bothers you, do not bring it here to drum up warriors for your army. You have your own journal for that. Using this community in that way usually results in drawing a lot of trolls and flames that uninvolved people have to read, which then results in said uninvolved (sane, sensible) community members taking off: basically, you borrow trouble for this community, and you end up driving away valuable members. Also, on a more personal note, I do not like trolls or flamewars.
3) If you have a new community you wish to advertise, please get my permission before posting about it here. In general I frown on this because it is likely to create splinter groups. But if it's a reasonable request I'll consider it. Don't forget, there is always the Community Promo group, as well as the option of simply inviting like-minded people through their own journals (it works).
