Did you know?

The US Department of Education has awarded the IBO a grant of US$1.17 million.  The funds will support establishing the IBO's Middle Years Programme (MYP) in six middle and high school partnerships in disadvantaged areas in Massachusetts, New York and Arizona.

The IBO mission statement

The International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO), founded in 1968, is a nonprofit educational organization based in Geneva, Switzerland. It offers to schools three programmes:

the Diploma Programme 
the Middle Years Programme
the Primary Years Programme

There are 1,351 schools authorized to offer IB programmes (Diploma Programme, Middle Years Programme, Primary Years Programme). These schools, known as IB world schools, offer a total of 1,565 IB programmes (DP, MYP, PYP) in 116 countries (March 2004).
