I got bitten by a spider the other night when we were out with the fire. :( Good thing I'm not you, Annie, or I'd be violently ill right now. Heehee. Virginia Beach tomorrow, woo! Yay for bar-hopping and the ocean! :-P I'm watching an E True Hollywood story on the Sopranos, oooh! Tonight's the big night... and I can't watch it. :*( |

So Bobby from Career Services at Stonehill found a part-time research opportunity that I can apply to, which is great. I have to get on that NOW, though. Good thing I brought all my crap with me, huh?? And some told me not to. Well, LOOKIE HERE! (Haha.) It's only 8 hours a week, though, so STILL no benefits. Oh well. It'd be too funny if I did get the MoS LotR job (still haven't heard - methinks she had the day off yesterday because I called twice AND emailed, and... nothing.) and I stayed at Curtis AND got this other job. Three part-time jobs. Haha. Anyway, we're going to VA Beach Monday morning until Thursday, so there is a damn good chance that I will not be updating at all during those days. (You're all like, "FINALLY!!!!!" Haha.) I am also gonna be missing the Sopranos most likely, unless we can order it at the hotel or something. So if any of you fuckers ruins it for me I shall slaughter you. Haha! Except Evan cuz he's special. :-P Tonight we're planning on going to Busch Gardens... late afternoon-ish, to see some of the shows this time with his mom and Betsy (who don't go on the rides) and get dinner. I REALLY want to see "Irish Thunder," which is the Riverdance-like show, as well as a few others. And then Nick and I are gonna go on the rides around 8:30 or 9, when it's REALLY dark, which'll be awesome. I haven't done that here yet, and they're gonna be SO cool in the dark. I can't wait. I hope the rain holds off... it doesn't look promising, though. :/ Hi to my new neighbors, Shan-dog and Kerri! =D I'm soooo excited you guys are all moved in. I can't wait to come see you!!! |

Alright, so this will most likely be my last post before I leave tomorrow for VA. Our flight's at 8:20 am, which means we have to get there at 6. Ughhhh. Nick's coming here in Grandma's car after work to get me and my stuff and I'm staying over there tonight (you know, as he lives 5 minutes away from the airport.) so I won't have my computer tonight. I will have very limited access to a computer while I'm there (they have a computer, but the internet's dial-up and is kinda slow, so I never use it much) and I won't be coming back until June 16th, which is a Wednesday. I'll try to post a bit and reply to other people's entries and such, but it most likely won't happen often. I'll probably do what I did last time - just make a huge post when I get back with excerpts from my written journal. You can still send me comments/emails/text messages, etc. because I will see them at some point! I hope everyone has a great 2 weeks! |

Tonight I purchased another Margaret Atwood book that came out in 2003 called "Oryx and Crake," which is supposed to be another futuristic one like "The Handmaid's Tale" (which is so great that if you haven't read it already, please go do so.) - have you read it, Annie?!? Has anyone else? I'm so excited. I miss reading for pleasure and not for school. Even MORE exciting - I got Tori's new DVD for $15 at Newbury Comics. Not only is it a 3 hour live DVD (plus other features!) there is a CD with 6 new songs on it, and in the book she printed the lyrics to them. I am so excited - I'm gonna go watch it right now. I didn't even know it was coming out because with all of the Graduation crap going on recently I haven't been keeping up with ANY bands or artists, so it was a total surprise. Aaaah, so exciting. Totally made my night. =D |

Is it bad that I have had four dreams within the past week revolving around coffee??? I have a severe, severe caffeine addiction. I need help. Haha. |

This is a double-yay post, and both have to do with LotR (somewhat). I just received a message from Evan who said he talked to Bill at work today and that the Museum of Science called asking "if I would make a good supervisor," and Bill gave a wholehearted "Yes she would!" and then (the best part), the lady said, "Good, so we can go ahead with this." YAY! They haven't called me yet, however, hahaha, but still. I'm guessing that I at least have a job working in the exhibit, if not a job as a shift supervisor (which I think would be really cool and a great thing to put on a resume.) THANKS FOR THE INFO, EVAN!! =D =D I'm so excited. In other news, as a graduation present, Nick got me the one ring! In silver, because I hate gold, but look: I'm not a huge jewelery person, and I'm not one of those girls who's like, "buy me necklaces and earrings, SPOIL ME IN JEWELS!" (haha, like Heather - "Mike BETTER get me a good present... I already have a necklace and bracelet, so he BETTER get me earrings to match.") so this is the most perfect thing he could've gotten me, because I've wanted one for so long. :) :) :) AND, he was far too extravagant ONCE AGAIN :-/ because he got me something else that he wanted to ship to Virginia but it's "too big" to have sent there, so he's having it sent to his house. I have a feeling I know what it is, but I don't want to ruin it so I'm not gonna say, but if it's what I think it is, I'll be mad at him because it's far too extravagant, but I'll be way excited and happy. Shhhh! I'll tell you when it comes. *squeals!* :) :) :) Yay! |

Well, I think that went extremely well. I met with 2 people, and they both seemed to think that I have a ton of customer service experience and tons of enthusiasm about the job and LotR (which I do.... duh.) which they said is "not a prerequisite," but does help. The first lady told me that they received well over 1,000 resumes and applications, and there are about 40-45 slots, so just the fact that I was there being interviewed is a huge deal. She seemed to especially like me - she said that even besides my experience and enthusiasm, she thought my "personality was well-suited for the job." And she definitely sees me out there in the exhibit and not just selling tickets. Then, the hiring manager told me that with my experience he is considering me not just for working the exhibit, but for being a SHIFT SUPERVISOR on the weekends! I'd be overseeing all the other employees! WOW, that's an honor even to be considered for that. As I said before, this is the premiere AND sole museum to have the rights to this exhibit thus far. Therefore, people from all over the country have been calling about it and making plans to come. One woman wants to postpone her wedding so that they can honeymoon in Boston while the exhibit's there! There will be people dressed up - and they have to put out a sign that says "no weaponry, please." How cool is that?? I feel like I'd meet the coolest people working there. They will have original costumes and props - including the One Ring. How priveleged would I be to be a part of this?? Not to mention the fact that it's the Science Museum. I've always loved it. It's SCIENCE. I can't imagine being surrounded by all that science every day - it would be incredible. I could keep learning without going back to school. :) Wish me luck. She said I could hear as early as tomorrow, but perhaps not for 2-3 weeks. Eeeek! I'm nervous, but I do have a good feeling. I don't want to be let down though. If I get the job, you all (well, at least those who live around here and like the films) have to promise to come visit while I'm working!!! P.S. Oh yeah - another thing that's cool about me interviewing today of all days is that RotK is now out on video/DVD! Haha! We were all talking about that this morning. So appropriate. |

Oh man, that was an.... interesting episode. It was so dark and disturbing. I wanna know what the rest of you think - but I really thought it was great. That dream sequence was by far the coolest (and at points, funniest!) thing I have EVER seen on a television show. Ever. They did an awesome job making it fucked up and random, like dreams are.... but making it relevant to Tony's feelings and what's going on. And the fact that it lasted 25 minutes or so was incredible. It JUST. KEPT. GOING. So awesome. I was "analyzing" it the whole time. ;-P I hope they have him tell Melfi next week or something. I wanna know what she says. And Ev, I think you're definitely right. Buscemi's so gonna get whacked, huh? Fucking awesome show. |

Last night I saw my sister before her prom at her friends' houses. Then my mom and dad took Nick and I to this nice Italian restaurant and bought us dinner, though it was THEIR wedding anniversary, haha. Nick and I just messed around with my computer the rest of the night. Today Eli Nick and I went to get Eli a pet! Well, first we went to the bank at his old work and I tried one of those iced lattes from Dunkies that I've been dying to try (but don't forget - coffee = satan!). It was alright. Then we got some pizza, and headed over to the pet store to get him a pet... he ended up getting two "fancy mice." We were there for, like, 45 minutes - looking at all the pets and playing with this bird one of the salesladies took out. The mice are SO little and cute and fun to watch. If I had had my camera (actually, you know what? I did the whole time but didn't realize it!) I'd post pictures. Someday. They are so cute. In the store they all try to go on the wheel at once and run, and some of them end up getting turned upside down. It's like a little ride - it looks so fun and cool. I am gonna try to convince my mom to let me get 2 now. You have to get two so they won't get bored or lonely. Plus, they do that cool thing on the wheel. And you can play with them and they won't bite you, like the rat from class apparently would. My car stalled AGAIN yesterday. Then today it did it while Nick was driving. And then AGAIN, twice when I was driving from Eli's to the highway, in a 5 minute period. I have NO IDEA what's wrong, and tmy formal's in the Cape this week. I will NOT miss my formal for my shittastic, dumbass car. 48 times WOO, my ass. :( I'm going out tonight for Chelsea's 21st - I won a free party again, this time at Coyote Ugly, which we've never been to. Then we're gonna head over to the Blarney Stone on Dot. Ave for a bit, but I have to work at 9 tomorrow and Chels is working at 10, so I don't think I'll be back too late. In other news, besides my car being broken, my CD player IN my car is broken, my text messages aren't working properly and my computer's still being funky. Yay for technology. >:-/ |

Eli had the best conversation with himself on my IM while I was doing my paper: Darkar Crento: away mesage Auto response from XHennaX: CRAP, no good. =/ Well, I'm all sweaty from the workout, plus the fact that it's hot here... so I'm hitting up the shower. Darkar Crento: oops Darkar Crento: ohhh YEA Darkar Crento: swea-tay and HOTTT Darkar Crento: dot. Auto response from XHennaX: Alright, yo. I'm getting some food, and then BACK TO THE PAPERRRRRRRR, aaaaah! Darkar Crento: food. Darkar Crento: im going to warn you Darkar Crento: becuase the buttons are fun to press Darkar Crento: no i wont Darkar Crento: but i want to Darkar Crento: i want to press the little lighting bolt Darkar Crento: why is the Warn button a lighting bolt anyways Darkar Crento: just does not make sense Darkar Crento: i mean, the only connection i could see there is a "Danger: High Voltage" ...so you know, DANGER, WARNING, WARN, but theres no electricity involved, i mean besides the computer and the exchange of the actual electrons that you make when you use the computer but that has nothing to do with warning someone on AIM Nice. I love when I find a conversation with yourself on my AIM, Mr. Eli. BLECH, I'm not even done with this paper and I have to work tonight. It's taking so much out of me to finish this. Perhaps it's somewhat subconscious... like, I know it's my last paper and I'm upset about graduating so I don't want to finish it because then I'll know it's all over........ Nah, I think I just don't feel like writing anymore. ;-P |

So, not only were a bunch of the priests found to be pedophiles, but now Catholic nuns are being accused of abusing handicapped kids. It's just an "allegation," but seriously, I wouldn't even friggin' doubt that. (My mom seriously used to get beaten with a ruler in school by the nuns because she was left-handed and in the Catholic religion that was a "sign of the devil." Fucking whackjobs.) The Catholic Church is FUCKED, guys. Oh, I'd like to share something that only made me hate the church even more - in my Psych of Women class we were talking about its stance on women and how they are sexist and all that, blah blah blah... but apparently surveys were given to priests and church officials about domestic violence, and a good percentage (I can't remember exactly) said that they believe that a woman should stay with a man who beats her because marriage is a sacrament and that they should just "trust that god will see them through." Are you fucking kidding me?? Yeah, god will see them through to their ABRUPT, EARLY DEATH. 33% of the women who are murdered each year are killed because of domestic violence in their marriage. (I didn't just make that up - that's a real statistic.) And the church thinks that the women who divorce these husbands are "sinning?" I will DESTROY YOU. I don't have a problem with religion or faith (unless it blinds you), and in fact (contrary to popular belief) religious studies and theology is one of my favorite things to learn about. But I will not shy away from saying that if I could destroy the Catholic Church I would. It's getting out of hand. People should leave and start a new church with essentially the same beliefs but without all this other bullshit, inequality, abuse and nonsense. I'm serious that I can no longer support this crap in ANY WAY. No more church for me... EVER. I'm gonna have to break it to my parents soon and just give them all these reasons. =/ |

HOLY CRAP, another of my favorite Seinfelds of all time is on, where Susan dies from licking the wedding invitation envelopes, just as George was trying to get out of the engagement with her..... and they're all at the hospital at the end after she dies, and they're just like, "Huh. Wanna go get some coffee?" HAAAAAA, this has been of of my favorites forever. "Hey! What's the deal with decaf? How do they get the caffeine out of there, and where does it go?" - Janeane Garofalo's character. And then about that, "I can't be with someone like me!! I HATE myself!" - Jerry |

So that was an awesome Sopranos episode because of the completely unnecessary beating of the guy at Bada Bing by Tony, ha ha ha! And when he purposely pissed off Janice so she'd go nuts. Janice sucks. "Depression is rage turned inward." |

On a lighter note than this morning (haha) I would like to thank Sara Oberle, Matt "Jermaine" Flynn, Michael "taco" Baker, Kerri and Kacee for coming to see our dance!!! =D That was really sweet. Thanks for the support. I think it went well. I was ALL sorts of nervous due to there being at least 30 (it seemed like maybe more) people there... and the anticipation of us going LAST. Wow. I think it may have been a good closer. Everyone seemed to like it - Sara said, "Wow, that was intense!" just like hers was last year. Joan came up to us afterward and said that the administrative assistant from downstairs said that she loved them all, but then said, "Wow, and that LAST one?? That was so great." Some random girl just walked by Shannon and I and said, "Hey - great job, girls!!" Wow. So cool. (Yeah. Shannon and I are WAY TOO COOL because we came to the library to both update our journals simultaneously. Ha.) I'm so happy. Too bad that'll be the only time in my life for me to present something I co-created, since I have no real talent in any form of the arts. HAHA! :-P So I guess it was a "once in a lifetime opportunity." I'm going to the other class section's performance this afternoon. I'm excited! |

I am a titanic fishstick who likes to eat beavers. ..and also a sexy vixen who likes to corner giant tits. As well as a testicular goddess who likes to gulp nipples. ;-) Go: http://www.auburn.edu/~shephcd/whatyoua Awesome Sopranos this week. I'm so glad that I "finished" my paper (not well) so I could watch it tonight. So the exit exam didn't happen today. There needed to be at least 5 people in order for ETS to score it and only 3 of us showed up. Bastards. I felt really bad for Professor T. It was okay, though - he bought us some pizza anyway and me, Sara, Cynthia and him sat around eating and talking about random things (from psychology to how horrible television is to Michael Jackson, haha) for 1.5 hours. It was cool! I'm gonna miss Professor Tirrell. :( The FESTIVUS episode of Seinfeld is on, SWEET! Gotta go watch it. I have to say that Cosmo Kramer has to be one of the very best characters in the history of tv. |

Oh my god, my dad just told me that a 55-year-old man was thrown off Superman at Six Flags. That is terrifying. I feel like I'm about to cry - I feel so bad for that guy and his family. He died. I fucking love that ride, too. It's one of my favorites, ever. That's not the first time they've had problems with it. No more Six Flags for me for awhile... Busch Gardens all the way. Can you imagine that? You go on this ride for fun, and then during it you realize you're not strapped in properly.... this thing goes, like, 80 miles an hour and sideways, and drops you 280 feet or something. HOLY FUCKING SHIT. I feel so bad. :*( I'm seriously gonna cry. Here: http://www.boston.com/dailynews/122/reg It still doesn't even friggin' say how it happened. :/ |
