Post a memory of me in the comments. It can be anything you want. Then, of course, post this to your journal and see what people remember of you.

4:39 pm - predicative fates
|
now, most of you know I subscribe to the simple belief that Everything happens for a Reason. something happened today that reminds me of this fact.
I needed to go shopping for food. normally i leave this mundane activity for weekdays when i'm returning from work, simply because i pass 7 or 8 supermarkets en route home. anyway, i left the house, driving toward stirling to go to safeway, and also meaning to go to b&q.; halfway there i realise i've left my bank card at home, and £10 isnt going to get me half of what i need. so i turn around, and decide to go into alloa, to shop at tesco instead. picked up bank card, drove to tesco, parked the car and walked into someone i used to work with 4 years ago, to be instantly set upon with a hug and introductions to two new children.
Jan was the 'chef' at one of the pubs i used to run. looks kinda like a short, plumper version of Amanda Tapping (carter in sg-1). turns out when she started popping sprogs, she and her husband decided to move over this way, and have been around here for the last 2 years. the kids, as young children are wont to do, took instantly to me. there was talk of babysitting. I Think Not.

the bad thing about luxuriant daytime napping is extreme nighttime wakefulness.

today I actually left the house, and went into the world beyond. I got a haircut (scarecut?) and it is particularly short indeed. must remember to never let the fluffy italian* one anywhere near my scalp again. at least it'll grow out.
now I shall clean the car, perhaps. or at least put more teflon on the windscreen, as its non-stickiness power is somewhat diminished.
* Lawrence Llewellen-Bowen has nothing on this bloke.

so, first impressions on the new FLA album are good. its very listenable, with good chunks of crunchyness and limited europop trashiness (1 track). much better than Chimera, a shame its the last (apparently).

so. once upon a time, there was a war, somewhere. america, told france to help. after all, if america tells you to do something, they expect you to do it. france said no. america said france were in for it.
thus:
america have taken this and are going to try to turn it into this. i hope it flops.

make that flashing a bios, rebooting a machine remotely, and performing risky sql commands on a live db.
