Small world part one: So a few years ago, I ran into some friends from high school (Jared Hayes and Sarah Mace) who are now married and live here in Portland... shocking! So they throw an annual Derby party and until a friend mentioned the derby, I had completely forgotten about the party, and that I had moved in the last year and lost touch with my old pals. Small world part two: I called Sarah to see how she and Jared were, and come to find out, they have bought a house... and live 2 blocks from me now. ... |

Opener to my Ethic Theory paper, topic: My work ethic "With my last job, I had the often-annoying task of public relations in regards to being the last line of defense for customer issues. Coupled with that fact, I was also asked to provide mentoring and training for support personnel in regards to customer handling. The most often heard quote from me is the old adage, "it's not personal, it's business", when talking of my unwavering upholding of company policies. Needless to say, I made few friends when it came to my work ethic." |

Thank you yvening for helping with my horrible procrastination on my Ethics paper. Give 10 facts about yourself that not many people would know about you. 1. I was born in Murray, Kentucky. Murray State University is there... not much else is. 2. I've had numerous jobs including: Personal Care Attendant for Handicapped college kids, UPS worker (twice now), Program Manager for Symantec (Norton Antivirus), Gas Station attendant, mechanic, carpenter, electrician, communications technician, bartender, bouncer, contract inspector for Ma Bell. 3. I've never smoked a cigarette, or marijuana. 4. I have one ear that sticks out more than the other.. as does my mother, grandfather, daughter, and nephew. (x chromosome trait) 5. I have OCD issues with only my alarm clock.. I'll check it 2-3 times before I can go to sleep. No other alarm clock makes me do this. 6. Up until my freshman year of college (the first time) I flew a confederate flag on my wall, and could be quite racist. A few very cool people helped me see that I should change, and many more through my life have assisted in that change. 7. I once broke my arm at the ball joint of my right shoulder. It healed in 4 weeks, and by 8 weeks later I had gained 10 lbs of muscle and had begun my freshman year of HS as defensive and offensive tackle. 8. I've eaten a frightening amount of animals. (different kinds) 9. Movies with "honor" themes make me cry. 10. I want to either live on a farm again, or grown my own food. |

Sleep, blissful sleep.... I shall return to sleep... So I had to call in and see when I needed to be at work today (on-call due to low volume) No work for me today! I am back to the land of the living (for now) g'night... again. |

So the phone rang at 2:15, and I immediately went through the whole process of "Is Luna ok? Is Shannon ok? Is my family ok?... Who the fuck is calling me?" It was work, asking me to come in early to work unload today as they were light on people. Hell yeah! it's a buck less an hour, but I don?t care... it's unload. I went in, worked my 3.5 and was done... also got to work with my buddy Ali, which made the day go by much better. So I am home, about to do some laundry and some homework. I miss Shannon :( |

So I came home from studying to find my E-Bay win waiting for me... Behold the pimp-ness: Damn you E-Bay! I'll not become addicted! (it was only $40 though, for a Canterbury jersey! score!) |

John Rawls: Selections from A Theory of Justice Interesting read on basic rights, but a bitch when you have to outline it... To say he goes back and repeats himself is a mild understatement. Thank goodness my second reading for today is real life case study data. |

"Atoms are just a theory! Can you see them? I didn't think so! I see no point in us learning this!" ... That was said by a lady to me in our Biology class... I had to walk away. |

"A PUHledge PUHin, on your UNIFORM?!" Generally good day yesterday... Got a little reading done as I did laundry. Got Shannon some coffee and some breakfast since she had to finish her Senior Capstone dealy yesterday. Drove to Eugene, played with the munchkins, saw how the roses we transplanted were thriving, and passed out o their couch as Tracy read a book to Taegan... guess it works in calming folks down. Drove back to Portland, stopped by the grocery and the neat little produce market over on Hawthorne, made a decent meal, and called it a night. |

I'll be lucky if I get a "B" on that Psychology 215 (Human Dev.) test I just took :( Rocked through the multiple choice... and then hit short answers.. got two of them then I froze... serious brain fart on my part... Well shite. Anyway, drove home in a gloom... saw a guy on a unicycle on Hawthorne Stopped by the grocery for some low cost goodness (Safeway is the bomb for some things) The lady in line near me had the most annoying laugh ever. There was a man in his late 30's-40's in a Boy Scout uniform... Generally in a pissy mood. Luna has a tooth bothering her... she needs to get a pulpectomy to fix it (they remove part of the nerve.. sort of a root canal for baby teeth) that'll be $400 :( Oh, work, you may ask? I had a decent day, got a lot done in a short time... mp3 player kicks major ass. (I am sure the 50 minute Carl Cox live show I have coming up twice during shift had nothing to do with that) |

Well, if I am going to stick with this fuckin' job... I needed some sort of sanity saver: Finding 256 megs of good, high energy techno in my collection was a bit of work, but all my Tool albums fit :) Thank goodness it was on sale. |
