or...not

i went outside for a walk around clifton
and...it appears to be raining. quite hard
at that.

and it looks as though it will be raining
more tomorrow.

personally, i like going places when it
rains. i apreciate the smaller crowds and
ample parking that seems to coincide
with precipitation.

but...not everyone feels the same way
about stormy weather.

for the time being, i am calling off the trip
to the festival of lights. or, rather, i dont
plan on going friday. if you guys wish to,
i cant stop you...

give me a call if more is going on...

more on the leftover phone.

i still have this cell phone someone left
here this morning. i know its not jason or
sara's. their phones look different.

on impulse i call will.

**ringing coming from my conference
room**

well, mystery solved. does anyone have
wills regular line?

will, if you are reading this, i have your
phone.

and if you ever wish to see it alive again,
you will have to pay...and pay dearly...

i was an untrained i.t. professional for an
office move early last year.

although i dont think i accidentally networked
any of the staplers...i did, at one point, work
on a macintosh "computer".

break out!!!

ok, kudos guy.

from boingboing.net

"JapanToday has an article about an unlikely hit pop song. The song is the
official song for a demolition company, composed and performed by one of the
workers. After it was picked up and played on a TV show, the company began
getting so many calls that they started to sell recordings of it."

for peace of the earth!

it is actually quite catchy...and the video
is so...japanese...

first spam of the year:

last night (well, this morning).

middle earth is mine!

rather, it was on sunday.

the group x-mas party was canceled
so eck was left with the present he
bought for the gift exchange.

risk: lotr edition.

so we played a two player game sunday
might. in general, david is frighteningly
prficient with board games. but, strategy
games, like this one, are a strong point
of mine.

so i won. which was followed by the same
two things that always occur when i win
an hours-long strategy game like this one.

first, an interpretive dance dance on my
part. one suggesting my opponent shares
a common lineage with the less appealing
members of the baboon family (picture lots
of groin-thrusts).

next, a parade of lies and excuses.
because, well, you know, from the looks of
things, in the two-player game, the "evil"
character has an unfair advantage if
they get to place first because of blah blah
blah whine whine whine...

you get the idea.

so, if anyone is up for a board game tomorrow,
i am more than game.

ok...it sounds as though i am having a
new-years-party thing here.

bring food/and or snacks if you like. as
always, i recommend byob.

in the meantime...i need to clean up a bit
here.

lets see if i cant throw something...festive
together.

or, alternately, perhaps not.

...well, it seems im _not_ going to
columbus today.

here is a question: is anything on for
newyear's? its only 2 days away.

If nothing is happening, i am more than
happy to volunteer my apartment as
a place to get together.

also, i wouldnt mind going to the festival
of lights at the zoo this year. thats over
on the 3rd. is anyone up for that?

Mon, Dec. 29th, 2003, 07:20 am
today...

im taking off for columbus in a few hours.

if anyone needs me...well, i wont be here,
now will i?

i am babbling at this point.

*very sleepy*

on another note, the soundtrack from
the original animated hobbit movie is
just...indescribeable:

"we dont wanna go to war today,
but the lord of the lash says,
'neigh! neigh! neigh!'"

and i can see this already; this is going
to be in my head all day...

briefly...

the caffine content of my bloodstream
is running perilously low.

i am heading out to habeneros to take
advantage of their free refill policy and
gorge myself with spicy food.

ok...

i will conceed that jason was the one who
introduced this one to me and that is a
very amusing/disturbing muffin-related

x-mas

i know there are more than a few of you
out there who, for one reason or another,
wont be with your families or at a big
x-mas feast today or tomorrow.

before i head out to my own family-
holiday-thing, i just want to wish you all
well. with the internet, no one is ever
really alone.

good tidings all.

really the only thing left on tv that i watch
anymore i keep hearing its been canceled,
(or will be canceled)

but, it looks like the rest of the third season
has already been produced.

the next new episode premieres jan 14th.

does anyone else know anything about this?

as ive said, it isnt a bad program. and its
been getting better. michael rosenbaum
(lex) has been nominated for best
supporting actor in a drama for the
international press associations satellite
awards.

one last note on edward the less: quotes

episode 13 is where the real money is..
