Two More Voter Registration Drives Slated for June 5

The Leon County for John Kerry Voter Registration Committee will be having two events this Saturday, June 5. The first drive will be at the Tallahassee Mall from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM and the second drive will be at the Tallahassee Flea Market on Capital Circle from 12:30 PM to 5:00 PM.

Volunteers are still needed! One volunteer is needed from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the mall and four volunteers are needed at the flea market from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM.

If you can spare a couple of hours this weekend to help get out the vote, please contact Voter Registration Committee Chairman, Chad Fetrow ASAP at 322-8356 or by e-mail at cwfetrow@yahoo.com.

June 4 Voter Registration Drive for Rock the Vote

Register to Vote!Rock the Vote, the Tallahassee Voter Participation Program and Kiss the Cook Productions are hosting a Voter Registration Drive at the American Legion Ballroom (next to the Black Dog Café at Lake Ella) on June 4, 2004, beginning at 8:00 PM. This event will feature an acoustic performance by two local area musicians, Ric Edmiston and Carrie Hamby. The admission charge for this concert is $5.

If you live in the Tallahassee area you will be able to come here and get all kinds of information about John Kerry and his positive, common sense vision for America and for the people of Florida. You will also be able to stay up to date on John Kerry campaign events in Leon County and find out what YOU can do to help give America back its future and its ideals.

Local House Parties Raise Big Bucks for John Kerry

The House Party fundraisers held in Tallahassee on May 22 & 23 raised approximately $10,000 for the Kerry campaign. The next National House Party Day is scheduled for June 26. Howard Dean Supporters Welcomed by Kerry Volunteers

On Tuesday, May 25 the Kerry for President Leon County Steering Committee adopted the following resolution:

Whereas Howard Dean has made a major contribution to the United States by increasing the active involvement of many Americans in the political process and helping to restore their idealism, and

Whereas the election of John Kerry as President in November 2004 will be achieved in large part by a unified Democratic Party, by the voluntary labors of many, and by a strong voter turn-out on Election Day, and

Whereas the Kerry for President Leon County Steering Committee is the official local grass roots organization of the John Kerry for President campaign,

The Kerry for President Leon County Steering Committee hereby enthusiastically invites all supporters of Howard Dean in Leon County to join the Kerry campaign and to join us as volunteers working for the election of John Kerry.

A Message From the Steering and Executive Committees

The Leon County Steering and Executive Committees are groups of volunteers dedicated to work for the election of John Kerry as President and dedicated to maximizing voter turn-out for John Kerry in Leon County, Florida.

We welcome the involvement of all citizens who are similarly dedicated to positive social and political change through the election of John Kerry.

Routine coordination of volunteer activities is coordinated by the Executive Committee.

The Steering Committee advises the Executive Committee on volunteer activities. The members of the Steering Committee include: Loranne Ausley, Roxanne Dow, Andrew Gillum, George Philippi, Bob Rackleff, and Curtis Richardson.
