Don't Vote Ralph

Posted by Ryan Davis

Don't Vote Ralph has a great two minute flash video showing Nader's real impact on the 2004 race.

It is a must see. If you have any friends thinking of voting for George W. Bush (via Ralph Nader) please send them this link.

kerry and nader to meet

Posted by Ryan Davis

Yahoo News:

Democrat John Kerry will meet Wednesday afternoon with independent Ralph Nader and make his case for uniting against President Bush. Nader insists he cannot be persuaded to leave the race.

"I think that's for the good of our country and for the benefit of the American people that are being ignored or repudiated by the Bush regime," Nader said Tuesday night.

Then why are you running Nader? You egocentric as*$%#.

He said he doubted that Kerry would ask him to withdraw from the race, and repeated his long-standing position that he had no intention of doing so.

Well, since Kerry isn't going to ask, I sure as hell will.

Ralph Nader: drop out for the good of the country.

Asked whether he would drop out if he were to conclude that continuing would guarantee Bush a second term, Nader said he would not.

Selfish prick.

Medicare

Posted by Ryan Davis

My friend's mom was recently working on getting the new Medicare Prescription Drug Card.

She spends over $150 dollars a month on drugs, so she thought she'd be able to get some assistance. After all, the card only cost $25 dollars a year - so it must be worth it.

After a few phone calls, she found out how much she'd be saving a month.

$7 Dollars.

Thanks for the help guys.

Edwards

Posted by Ryan Davis

It wasn't even close, Edwards really cleaned up on the CNN VP contest.

Clark only recieved 32% of the final vote, I thought it would be much closer.

The Draft Kerry/Edwards website has apparently only gotten 5,000 people to sign up. That doesn't sound like a movement going anywhere.

Would Kerry really pick Edwards? I'm starting to feel like I'm five years old again, counting down the days before Christmas.

On May 19th: Don't Pump

UPDATE: This is a hoax. Thanks for the comment Barnaby James.

Nationwide Effort: Put a Dent in High Gas Prices -- May 19

This past week, oil prices reached levels not seen in over 20 years. High oil and gas prices means we have to expend more money at the gas station, grocery store, and clothing and other consumer goods stores (as trucking companies raise their prices for transporting goods).

While the Saudi oil minister said Saudi Arabia would increase the oil supply to bring prices down, prices eased for only one day and then returned to high levels, as Venezuela (also a member of OPEC) said that the current oil supply was sufficient. Meanwhile, Congress, the Administration, and state governments have not taken steps to either reduce levels in the Strategic Petroleum Reserve (which would increase the domestic supply) or to cut taxes on gas.

Join the nationwide effort on May 19 to put a dent in the high gas prices and to show oil companies and the current Administration that we want something done. If all Americans boycott gasoline purchases for one day, the estimated impact on oil companies' bottom lines would be $4.6 billion. (If you don't own a car, pass the word along to those that do.)
