Jackson case dropped
AP AP
Friday, June 4, 2004
LOS ANGELES Pop star Michael Jackson will not be charged with molesting a Los Angeles man in the 1980s because a two-month investigation found no evidence of a crime, the police said Wednesday. The case was unrelated to Jackson's pending trial in Santa Barbara County on charges of child molestation, abduction, extortion and false imprisonment.

The announcement appeared to close the Los Angeles case.
