Extroductions...
I'm sorry the writing here has become sporadic. I should be taken outside and beaten. However, there is a real reason for this.
Although I will keep this blog up for posterity, I will not be contributing to it as much as in the past (hold your laughter). The reasons for this are twofold: I have nothing else to say about myself, and I want to write about the more academic things that I'm interested in, which I don't think would be appropriate on this blog, so full of me.
I have created a new blog called geblography.net. If you want to read about activism, about sexuality, about class, about marginilization, and about geography, feel free to repoint your browsers there. If not, it's been a nice time these two and a half years, and I'm glad that you could come along for the ride.
Take care of yourself, and then take care of someone else.

I don't know if you guys have been paying attention, but these are some of the responses I've been getting from this post, which seems really popular among the homophobes for some reason...

:: Get back!! Take your dick, shove it wherever you'd like. KEEP IT TO YOURSELF AND QUIT SHOVING IT DOWN OUR THROATS! Homosexuality is a disease that needs to be cured. THANK GOD FOR AIDS! YOU MOTHER FUCKING FAGGOT! Posted Mon 26 Jan 5:33 AM GMT by Dan (dantheman@ix.netcom.com : )
:: still the same Still as whinny and self involved as ever I see. Good to see you couldn’t hack it in the real world. Professional student to the end. How many degrees do you have now? You are and always will be a scared little boy hiding behind college walls and big words. What will you do when there are no more degrees to obtain? No more courses to take? What will you do when the realization sets in that are and always will be alone. Free to wallow in self pity till the end of your days. See you around. Posted Thu 12 Feb 7:50 PM GMT by Reality ( : )
:: To Dan... You'd like it if I shoved it down your throat, wouldn't you? Posted Sun 15 Feb 1:53 AM GMT by Scott ( : )
:: To Reality Wow, reality, that was spoken like someone who 1. is too afraid to show who they are, and 2. doesn't have a fucking clue who I am...
Have a good day,

I don't know which one disturbs me more. The fact that some people hate gay people so much that they would bother reading my blog AND posting such eloquent comments or that creepy post from reality.
In lighter news, AAG's this week and I'm going to Philly. Have a good one, kiddos, and I will talk to you guys soon.

I'm moving to Tucson...
This will be my new home as of the end of July. They came through with a fabulous offer (which consisted of an assistantship, a fellowship, both in- and out-of-state tuition wavers, and health insurance). I will be working with John Paul Jones III, Sallie Marston, and Miranda Joseph, studying spatial identity politics and identity theory, especially where it relates to spaces of protest and contest.
Needless to say, I'm happy...now back to my thesis...

I have to go away...
...for a while to make a decision. I'm torn apart right now, and for the first time in my life, I don't know what I'm going to do.
Anyway, I will return in a week or two.
