Name:Red Day
About:This is a community dedicated to sucking all the marrow out of life, taking advantage of opportunities, and living extraordinarily before it's too late. Enjoy yourself! Take a step back and realize what it's all about!

"Carpe . . . carpe diem . . . !" -- John Keating, Dead Poets Society

"That's really all life is . . . a series of moments. Why don't you seize yours?" -- Loki, Dogma

"I sound my barbaric YAWP over the rooftops of the world." -- Walt Whitman

Requirements for joining?
  • You must have seen Dead Poets Society. It's just 128 minutes of your time, and we swear they won't be wasted. It's necessary for you to understand what we're talking about here. =D You don't have to write poetry or be religious or act all serious or whatever other preconceptions you may be developing right now -- you just have to learn to cultivate a uniqueness you can be proud of.

  • You must declare a Red Day for yourself before you post -- a day when you go out and do something that you've always wanted to do, a day when you take a risk and live life to the fullest, a day when you suck all the marrow out of life without choking on the bone, a day when you're not afraid to bring a rubber chicken onto a talk show and simply squawk every time they try to ask you a question. ^_~ Once you've finished your Red Day, post your experiences in the community journal as an introduction.

  • You must be willing to believe that you're worth the effort. YOU *CAN* MAKE YOURSELF HAPPY. Anytime you want. Seriously. And if you're chuckling at the Barney-ness of it all, just go away right now and watch the movie. If you've already seen it -- even more pitiful, bucko, but we won't say you can't be saved. Be true to yourself and let yourself break free!
