June 1 ,2004
The upgrade originally scheduled for June 1 has been re-scheduled for Thursday, June 3 at approximately 1 AM. At this time a software upgrade will be applied to Standards-Based DSL equipment. Minor service interruptions for customers served by that equipment will occur during the maintenance window which will last approximately 30 minutes. Several VTel Internet customers have reported receiving email with the subject: "Billing Notice From vermontel.net's Accounting Dpt"
These email messages are generated by virus-infected computers on the Internet and are not being sent by VTel Internet.
We are working to stop these email messages from being delivered; however in the meantime we urge our customers to delete
messages, with this subject, without opening them.
