Went out last night for a "few quiet drinks" in The Cork, which is Welwyn Garden's finest pub. Sadly I hate the place but it's the best of a bad bunch. It turns out that they were serving £1 Vodka and Cokes, hence the reason for the hangover :-(
Went in to town again today because I had to buy a new pair of shoes - nothing special but they'll do the job for work.
I really, really want to purchase 11 cd's from Amazon but I can't afford them :( Must pay off previous purchases on the credit card first...
I went paintballing yesterday, and it was great (yay!) but I hurt myself (boo!).
The funny thing is that it wasn't the paintballs themselves that did the damage - it was me stacking it into to a tree stump and landing on it pretty badly. I've got MASSIVE bruises on my upper arm, shoulder and chest and it hurts quite a lot to be honest ;-(
Until then paintball was great fun though. Very professional outfit down in Westerham, Kent. Much better then the last place that I went to.
The canal boat holiday was *awesome*. Really good to meet up with some of the uni crowd (people I lived with rather than course people) as well. Can't recommend a holiday like that enough. Seriously.. so relaxing and so enjoyable. Found a pub to watch the football in, shame about the result but didn't really dampen the trip.
It's my birthday today. I turned 23 22 minutes ago.
To celebrate I went to see the Red Hot Chilli's with some friends on Saturday. They rocked. We stayed out in London and went out in Glocester Road. Tres bien but rather posh. The B&B; that we stayed in near Hammersmith will probably see repeat business from us.
I took my birthday off work so I'm going to go to the gym and then see my Nan for lunch, then Mum Dad and Brother when they get home from work. Then it's the England game, and Glastonbury on Thursday!
I'm off on a canal boat holiday for the weekend on Friday. Hopefully we won't have a problem in finding somewhere to watch the football on Sunday night!
Went to see Gomez last week and they were awesome, as always. They played a wide range of songs even though the set was new album heavy - but that's no bad thing because I really like the new material!
Got very hot at work today. Working in an office with no air conditioning is just wrong :P
Looking forward to Red Hot Chilli Peppers a week on Friday, then The Zutons the Tuesday after that, then.. Glastonbury. Oh, got to go and see Stereophonics on Wednesday too! So.. a good month for music I reckon ;-)
I went to see Spurs vs Arsenal the other day at White Hart Lane. Good match for a neutral. Shame Arsenal have won the league though... and they'd best not think they can prise Michael Owen away from us!
I got Glastonbury tickets, after 8 and a half hours of trying. Which was nice.. I don't think!
Just got back from Red Cross, where I'm doing a first aid course.. not that many more sessions to go now..
Morning all! It's not natural for me to be up this early on a Saturday I know, but I'm all excited. I picked up my new car last night and I'm off out for another spin shortly! It had to rain all over it overnight though didn't it ;-(
The bad news: I had to bring some work home this weekend ;-(
I had a pretty good one. Went to Bournemouth, went to "Slinkys". Completely not my cup of tea I'm afraid, but we all had a few drinks and had a good night.
I went to see Gomez in Milton Keynes last night, which was good. The venue was tiny - only 400 people. It was a really good gig, and the new songs they'd debuted were rather good. I'm looking forward to the new album, that's for sure.
Just a brief entry to say hello really, this one. I'll write a proper one in due course. Happy birthday for tomorrow, princesswannabe!
Don't you just hate it when you've written your longest livejournal entry to date and lose it all in one go through some stupid mistake you don't realise you've done :-(
Basically, I was writing my grad ceremony up. Lost the lot :-( Must type slower and stop hitting the keys some randomly with my fat fingers.
