Walt Whitman

Here is an intensely useful Walt Whitman Archive. In addition to the usual kinds of things (an .mp3 file of Whitman reading [!], biographical and critical material, and images), it has something much cooler:

The Walt Whitman Archive is, therefore, using the Text Encoding Initiative (TEI) and Encoded Archival Description (EAD) XML encoding standards to create both an integrated electronic guide to and electronic transcriptions of Whitman's poetry manuscripts.

(And today's Whitman's birthday, too.)
