Sharon invokes Begin to justify Gaza-Samaria retreat


Prime Minister Ariel Sharon Wednesday told a Jerusalem gathering he was following in the footsteps of Menachem Begin and his dismantling of the Sinai

settlements by initiating an Israeli flight from the Gaza Strip in the face of a "Palestinian" terror threat his government has deemed insurmountable.

'Gaza retreat won't end terror'

Governments of the world are celebrating Sharon's plan to uproot Jewish Gaza as a means to jump start the peace process and curb the scourge of "Palestinian" terrorism. But the Hamas Saturday announced it has other plans.
