News! Strom Thurmond may be dead. In a blow to Trent Lott and segregationists nationwide, Strom Thurmond checked out at 9:45pm in an Edgefield, South Carolina hospital. In public service for eighty frickin years!!!, he will be sorely missed by Jay Leno's joke-writing staff.

Also -- Ken Lay. Still walking around free, after pillaging the retirement funds of all the employees at Enron? What's with that? Well, at least they got that rapscallion Martha Stewart.

Also -- Paltry evidence of WOMD in Iraq. President Bush -- about that war... Was it all a cynical lie, or only a horrible, horrible mistake? Looking forward to your reply.

We have a new version of BlogHop coming... finally. We have lots of cool features. The new site will be 300% faster. For now, we're just trying to perfect a "no cheating" rating approach which is still very simple for bloghoppers to use. (To answer your questions: Yes. If your blog is dead or expired, you will be able to remove it. :))

Also -- BlogHop has to make its own way in the world. We are too broke to host the site and eat the bandwidth costs. We are getting too much traffic now for that. So a few (hopefully not too distracting) advertisements will appear. In keeping with the BlogHop philosophy, these ads deal with improving your life and improving your income. We thought about asking for PayPal donations, but that's just guilt transferrence. We'll do that later.

We know we just made fun of google.com for putting advertising on blogs, but this isn't the same thing. This is us... we're your friends... we're not like the other websites...

Mister Rogers dead at 24!! Only the good die young. He had a good career ahead of him. What? You mean dead at 74? Meow meow stomach cancer meow meow. Mister Rogers taught bloghop many important life lessons when bloghop was young: how to put on a sweater, how to answer the phone, how not to be afraid of falling into the toilet. All bitter laughter aside: We will miss you, sir.

Google buys Blogger.com. Of course pyra labs was purchased. It's about time. I mean, it's sorta the future.

So... why wasn't there a bidding war between all the media conglomerates? I guess they're just not imaginative; we hate big companies. They never get anything right, and then they complain to the government when someone wipes out their monopoly. Darn communists. At least Google is smart-thinkin'.
