[linking]

Reading that Google recommends a single webpage has a “reasonable number of links (fewer than 100)", Gina made a bookmarklet that’ll tell you how many links a page you’re reading has. This page, before I post this post, has far too many links.

216 links, 47% internal, 53% external

I like linking.

  2. I clearly like linking, too. I think I have 270, but Miriam definitely blows me away.

  3. So I suppose that 244 links would be a bad thing according to google? Oh well, let’s just chalk it up to information overload and move on! LOL

By the way, I absolutely LOVE the new banner image. The movement and light are spectacular!

  4. Jill: I like most of the in your blog visuals. And the picture of the girl (at Bryggen) shines. Keep on using that camera!

  5. Thanks!

    :)

Part of the reason I redesigned the blog is that the last design - with the big face - didn’t encourage me to post photographs. I love my camera :)

this season on jill/txt

Je suis prof de la université, dear readers, quite a fresh one too, having earned my PhD less than a year ago. This autumn I'm teaching a grad course on digital culture and I'm trying to write articles about networked, distributed, viral fictions. I'm also starting up ELINOR, the new Nordic network for electronic literature, and helping to organise Digital og sosial, a conference in Bergen on Nov 10-12 that is going to be awesome. Add to this an eight year old daughter, a gorgeous lover abroad and a newfound desire to move to Paris and you have jill/txt: complicated and I love it!
