i dont know how many of you read Day 5. on the channel 4 but it said that people have been pointing lazer pointers in his eye just to bug him but it came to a new level because Blaine freaked out and thought somone was pointing a gun at him. they called the police and later released the people. but it worries me because we all know from the frozen in ice stunt that blaines mind freaks out. and this is just so mean because he's haveing a hard enough time already... sigh..
also its been spotted that his gf wiped the eggs of the glass for him

Has anyone been to see David Blaine in the box yet?
According to the latest news, he's had eggs, golf balls and stones thrown at him. I don't know if this is to try and prove he is in the box and it's not just an illusion or whether people are just arseholes.
If it is an illusion, any ideas on how they could do it?

I watched a rerun of David Blaine's appearance on Howard Stern's show last night. I have to say I was quite surprised to learn that he's not all what I thought him to be. He actually is quite the sex fanatic, admitting to having sex with his girlfriend Josie(some famous model) up to 8 times a day....along with a bunch of other kinky stuff. He also gave away some of his secrets, talking about how he was able to stay in a block of ice for 2+ days. Has anyone else seen it? Tonight on the E channel there is a PART 2 to his interview.

Hi there. Im in the UK and I've been a fan of David Blaine for a while now and I always find myself totally in awe of what he does. I think one of the biggest moments I was shocked by a Blaine trick was when he took the crushed, empty can of lager off the people in the park and restored it to a full can of lager again. I still can't work that one out. Gees.
Anyways, I found this community and thought I'd join. I've recently purchased the Blaine book "Mysterious" too. Has anyone actually solved the treasure hunt in that book yet or is still ongoing?

OK so what's David up to these days?
I've heard alot of rumours about what he might do next, e.g. walk on water, something with fire and being tied up then jumping off a bridge into water.
Living in the UK we always get the news later than everyone else. I hope I haven't missed anything.

How does David Blaine deal with Hecklers? I've always wondered that. You never see in his videos people turning over cards before they should or worse, ripping the deck out of his hands to reveal a trick? I just want to know how he would deal with people like that?
I was at a party last night and I saw a deck of cards on the table. I ask some of the people around me if they would like to see some tricks. First I turn to the girl on my right and do a trick and get some pretty good reactions. I do a few more tricks for some other people and then place the cards down for a bit. I pick them up when I think everyone is distracted by the TV and descretely as I could set up the deck. I then announce that I am going to cut to the four aces. The girl on my right doesn't believe I can do this so I think I'm gonna get some pretty good reactions from this one...That is until after I cut to the 2nd ace she says "All the aces are on the top of the deck!" I just calmly say "But look what I'm doing." and continue to cut the cards. She then rips the cards out of my hands, some of the cards go flying and she shows everyone the remaining two aces on the top of the deck. Thanks to her, most of my friends now know the secret to that trick.
I'm sure something like this has happened to David Blaine at least once. As a novice (I wouldn't call myself an amateur yet) magician this was very discouraging. So what does David Blaine do about it if anyone knows?

Hey all thought I'd better introduce meself.
My names Owen and go vby the stage name of The Road Mage. I'm a 20 year old student from England and am currently studying in Trinity Colledge in Dublin, Ireland. I pay my way through uni by doing street magic.
I've been doing magic for about a year now and am currently working on a two magic TV specials called "Owen's Ordinary Word" and "Road Mage" . I never was much of a fan of the talented Mr. Blaine until reading his book which I have to say is very good, and i found myself warming to him a lot and seeing where he's coming frm. In fairness he relaly does know how to get a reaction and created a very good character for himself (and does seem to have an oedipus complex the size of the pole he stood on in vertigo - but thats beside the point ;) )
Most cool that someones made a community to the great man, after all his Street Magic special was probabbly one of the two most monumental happenings in the magic world over the last decade.
