Random Spam Subject Header of the Day: "ferret"

Also, volleyball is hard. Sand is annoying. Combining those two things and taking part in them instead of work (legally!) is fun.

Since I'm at work, certain parts of speech have been stripped from this post.

*verb* FEDERAL STUPID WAY. *verb* IT WITH SOMETHING RUSTY AND POINTY. *verb* ALL OF THE RESIDENTS OF THE *adjective* STUPID CITY, BECAUSE THEY ALL HAVE TO GET IN THEIR *adjective* CARS AT THE SAME *adjective* TIME AND THEN DRIVE INTO *adjective* FREEWAY BARRIERS BECAUSE 3 DROPS OF WATER FELL FROM THE *adjective* SKY.

*blasphemy* H. *more blasphemy*, IT SHOULD NOT TAKE 35 MINUTES TO NOT GET THE 10 *adjective* BLOCKS TO LUNCH.

Now I will eat a Jolly *adjective* Rancher for lunch because EVERYONE IN THIS OVERGROWN CAR-FILLED PARKING LOT EXCUSE FOR A CITY IS A *adjective* *noun*.

*exclaimation*!

[Current Mood | sad]

Rest in peace, President Reagan.

No matter what you thought of his politics (and probably 9/10 people reading this despise them), he was always able to express not only conservative ideas, but also more universally American ones in an eloquent way, as a leader should. This is something we could desperately use now, but are lacking in the worst way. The fact that we could so sorely use a Reagan now makes it all the more sad that he's gone

Also: What she said... If you might be inclined to point out all of the reasons why he's an idiot, save the Republican bashing until after he's buired. Have some respect.

Hmmm. REI is second only to Fry's in the "bad for sherm's bank account" category. Oh well. I NEEDED shoes and sunglasses. (I think I'm turning into a woman. shit.)

In other news: telecommuting tomorrow! wheee!

Mildly entertaining, as most coaster pics are. But you can't miss the best part, which is the kid behind me:

BOO!

Beats the Comcast Dome I guess, but still. US West is evil. Qwest was such a cool company before they turned into that...

Damnit, I think it's tured the corner from always being freezing in here to always being sweltering in here.

I like freezing better. I have heaters and blankets, but no air conditioners. Plus, open windows in basement = insects in house.

Basements--;

Nooz [May. 17th, 2004|10:46 am]
Why are we risking lives and spending money on this??

If you're going to climb up the side of a huge fucking ice-covered rock for fun, you should have to hire, train and supply your own search-and-rescue team or just understand that there's a good chance of dying when you go to a place that humans really weren't designed to go.

Last time I checked, there was a WAR going on. Can't we find something better to do with Army personnel and helis than pulling idiots off of Rainier? Honestly.. :P

[Current Mood | disappointed]

I'm sick of watching critically-acclaimed movies about a bunch of low-lifes low-lifing around and ending the film as, surprise, low-lifes.

Yes, I know, I'm not educated in film, and I don't understand how wondefully brilliant the director's masturbation technique is, and some parts of the acting were admittedly impressive -- but isn't the whole thing about telling stories in an interesting way? A saying involving lipstick and pigs comes to mind.

In other news: ...nope, that's about it. blah.

Cable Modem [May. 8th, 2004|08:16 pm]
I got tired of listneing to my dad complain about CenturyTel's glorious DSL service, so I picked up a cable modem at Best Buy today (for -$25 even..wtf...).

HOLY BANDWIDTH, BATMAN.

Faster (because of lack of shitty ISA server) than the T3 at work.

Need one of these in Seattle. Anybody know how to get out of an Earthlink DSL contract?

[Current Mood | aggravated]

I'd like to personally express my profound gratitude to my refrigerator for dying.

Because two things I REALLY NEED IN MY LIFE are:

- Reminders that I live in a craphole.
- ONE MORE THING TO DEAL WITH.

Feh.

OPPRESSIVE POLITICAL AGENDA [May. 5th, 2004|01:36 pm]
Heh, LJ has once again proven that no good deed goes unpunished. If the users of this site are even a slightly representative sample of society, I want out.

But anyway, props to [info]brad and co. for taking the link to the bullshit quiz thing down and admitting that it was a mistake to support that organization.
