i've decided to work on my crafting skills. that's right. soon i will have the best armor and weapons a girl can craft in the virtual world. i am bad. oh yes. i am bad.

so i'm moving right along in Asheron's Call 2. i felt like a change, so i made a second character this morning. a lugian named safphire. and there's a lot to be said for walking between destinations instead of using the portals. i climbed levels much faster, found better weapons/armor sooner, and often stopped to admire a nice view. the game is going better with her than with my secrative girl character. of course it helps that i kind of know what i'm doing now.

so i'm playing Asheron's Call 2. and it is SO cool. i am just so excited. and brent is SO thrilled to have found a game we can play together. definitely worth paying for. i think some of you should come play too.

i made french toast and sausage for supper last night then grilled cheese, pineapple, and peas/tomatoes for lunch today. and i just can't keep my quad row rating over 1300. i keep getting my butt kicked by 13 year old punks. the world has gone crazy i tell you. crazy.

so i couldn't connect to the internet today. called them. they told me they closed their dial up service for my area and didn't i get the email. well no i didn't. so... i've been forced to get a cable connection. but i have to go an entire WEEK without internet. i'm going to die.

there are some really fun games here including some classics. if you go there you have to try the Dancing Bush and i love Pharaoh's Tomb.

the book i am finally reading is currently being featured in oprah's book club. it is somehow less appealing to me now. should have read it when i bought it.

and on my way home from work this morning, a bird flew right beside my car for two and a half blocks. i was going 20mph. no one else was on the road. cool and cloudy and lightening in the distance. it was beautiful and friendly and i was smiling. and then the bird flew ahead of me. crossed the front of my car. landed on the sidewalk. he may have been playing chicken.

i don't normally allow myself to get emotionally involved with anything outside my own little world, but after seeing several similar instances, i am finally good and angry. i can hardly believe this kind of thing is still allowed to go on. this country is getting completely out of control. i think i'll move to new zealand and pretend the rest of the ugly world doesn't exist.

i worked 24 hours straight. 2pm yesterday until 2pm today. that is the longest work day i've ever had. i've been up for an hour. took my son for ice cream and paid four dollars for a gallon of milk. i'm not very happy about that. ![[info]](http://library.vu.edu.pk/cgi-bin/nph-proxy.cgi/000100A/http/web.archive.org/web/20040827192830im_/http:/=2fstat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) nox and i are rebelling.
watched Identity. i'm not into horror, but john cusack is sexy. we also watched Bruce Almighty. i don't care for jennifer aniston, and i think jim carrey's brand of humor has seen it's day, but the part where he is strutting across the street mouthing "i've got the power" was just SO funny. and then The Mexican which i insisted he watch. and he liked it. but i still dislike julia roberts in that role.
