ack! I forgot!
D'oh. I really forgot. Thank the gods and goddesses our drummer has his shit together. (yes, I realize how odd that sounds.)

Dubfreque is on Zed TV this evening, playing on the Canadian Mothership station of CBC. Its SUPPOSED to be on at 9PM in every time zone so, Toronto people can catch it pretty very soon!

Sorry for the late notice!

I -think- they are using the clip of "karma" that we did, so, enjoy!

Its been raining. I don't have to water the garden.

You don't know how happy this makes me feel.

*does the monkey happy dance*

I made up for it in other ways.

Wow, who would have thought THIS
First if I make any typos, I can barely see due to drops from the optometrist (who agrees my eyes are basically good and no change in the prescription but I want some new frames anyways)

But, Rick James has died!

LOS ANGELES - Funk singer Rick James, best known for the 1981 hit "Super Freak," died Friday, apparently of natural causes, police said.

James, 56, died at 9:45 a.m. at a residence near Universal City, said Officer Esther Reyes, a Police Department spokeswoman.

"He died apparently of natural causes. We learned of his death after responding to a radio call," Reyes said.

After his big hit, James' fame began to fade as he became embroiled in legal problems and health troubles.

James was convicted in 1993 of assaulting two women. The first attack occurred in 1991 when he restrained and burned a young woman with a hot pipe during a cocaine binge at his house in West Hollywood. He was free on bail when the second assault occurred in 1992 in James' hotel room.

James was sentenced to more than two years in state prison.

In 1997, he released a new album, but a year later he suffered a stroke while performing at Denver's Mammoth Events Center, derailing a comeback tour.

In 1998 he also underwent hip replacement surgery.

Up The Ante
I think I need to make the bike ride a little longer soon. 10k? Its become too easy. I'm no longer puffing like its going to be my dying gasp. Hills aren't killing my knees don't feel like they will explode. My shirt is not a soggy sodden mess. I carried on a phone conversation the other day on lap 4 and the person couldn't believe I was out riding

Its either time for a new route or at the very least, a few more laps. I have yet to start riding to work simply because I don't wanna be a sweaty mess when I get there, but, maybe that will be the ticket. I do know that I physically feel better than I can ever remember feeling as an adult. More energetic (which still strikes me as odd given how much energy I burn lately) and more alert.

Or maybe I'll just change to a higher gear. :-)

Forgot ALL about this
But, given we filmed that ZED TV shoot with the band in MArch, which seems like a lifetime ago right now, its understandable.

Canadian people who get CBC, make sure to tune into ZED TV this friday, because the stuff we filmed, looks like it will be shown!

A mixed blessing, the dentist called to cancel's today's appointment since the hygenist is sick. So no sore mouth for me today, but, now I have to wait 2 weeks to get another appt.  *grumble*

The Only
The only problem with training new people is that I have to babysit them on calls and its not easy to butt in "wait, no, you don't need that information"  "wait, stop, go here instead"

But, its getting there at least. It sucks ass that I will have to train ANOTHER person in the next week or so.

This day is dragging, I am sure is because I am dreading round 2 at the dentist.

Oooooh! I forgot! I counted this morning, I have exactly 6 days left of Zyban. Normal sleep will be mine next week! I can't wait for this crap to get out of my system once and for all. My emotions may calm down a bit too, at least the wild swings will go away.

And GOOD news
A remastered, 3 disc London Calling set coming in September?  You can bet I'll be picking that one up, especially as it will have some unreleased stuff too!
