Sparkles [04 Sep 2004|07:10pm]

hopeless
I was wondering if anybody knows where to find sparkle brushes like the ones in these icons used by [info]tornfishnets

I would also like to know how to get my text to 'bend' like that, I have tried using 'warp' when adding text but it doesn't seem to work.
Thanks.

Brushes for Photoshop CS are here

and an image pack for everyone else can be found here

These packs contain 16 brushes, most of which are 200x200pixels in size, for reasons to do with positioning - you will understand when you use them.

If enough people want an Image Pack, I'll be willing to make it... comment and let me know if it's something you really would like! Also, PLEASE CREDIT IF YOU USE!!! I can't stress this enough... I'm really trying to get my journal better known... just saying it once in your userinfo is enough... but if you feel led to credit when you use in icons... please do!
Also also!... If you need instructions on how to download brushes, go to http://rubyraindrops.bravehost.com in the brushes section!
Thanks Everyone!

Brush sharing tutorial please? [25 Aug 2004|08:02pm]

realtanala
[ mood | hopeful ]

Someone asked a question about how to post brushes and I've had the same burning question. Is there a tutorial somewhere that explains, from start to finish, how to post brushes? There are lots of tuts on how to make them. But once you've made them and want to share them..........then what?

Can a kind, detail oriented person with a little extra time post instructions on how to share brushes? These are some of the things I thought could be included in the tutorial.

Once you have your image pack and .abr or .jbr files......
1. Do I need to put the .abr and/or .jbr files into a zip folder?
2. Do they need to be uploaded somewhere? Where? List of hosts perhaps?
3. What is the exact html code needed to make the links to the image pack and files? Including lj-cuts, etc.

I'm sure I've left out some crucial questions.

Maybe we can put these instructions in the memories so it's easy to find and reference.

Anyone? Several people? I and many others here would be so thankful I'm sure. :)

Looking for a simple gradient fade-type brush... [21 Aug 2004|02:12am]

[ music | Quiet hum of computer tower fan ]

I was wondering if anyone had a simple Photoshop 6.0/7.0 brush that was a gradient fade with the most fade near the bottom and the least fade at the top (the brush would look dark at the bottom and lighter at the top in the brush list) - straight up and down (I have one that fades to the corner but I need this one). It just has to be the fade... no fancy stuff. I really need this for a certain fade in an icon but I can not find one anywhere and I do not know how to make brushes myself. Please help! ;_;
