Scissor Sisters
With their mix of pop, dance and glam-rock and drag and burlesque influences, New York's Scissor Sisters defy genres, gender roles and expectations. Their neon-bright re-imagining of Pink Floyd's "Comfortably Numb" and their theatrical live show won them many fans in Europe and the UK, including Elton John and Duran Duran, both of whom had the Scissor Sisters play opening gigs for them. With the US release of their self-titled debut, the group hopes to make it as big in the States as they did overseas.
