John & Ken have now set a deadline for Congressman David Dreier to come on the show for a full hour. The deadline is set for Friday the 13th at 5pm. Now, in case you have been living under a rock, you should know that we have had four of the top five Congressional members on the show for a full hour. Congresswoman Mary Bono actually stayed for a second hour to take phone calls. The next step is to have you the listener listen once again to the interviews from the show and then take another poll. You will have to choose one from the top five candidates from the last poll.

Al Qaeda Operatives Secretly Captured by CIA Provided Intelligence Behind New Orange Alert
Senior US counterterrorist and intelligence officials in Washington told HSToday in recent days intelligence gleaned as a consequence of the arrest in Texas of alleged Al Qaeda courier Farida Goolam Mohamed Ahmed, and the subsequent unreported capture by the CIA of two operatives of an Al Qaeda cell operating in Mexico for which she was ferrying “instructions” to suspected Al Qaeda members in New York, contributed significantly to the nation’s capital, New York City and New Jersey being put on high alert Sunday. Oh, oh we’ve reached a turning point and there may be no return - Tom Cruise looks old. He’s got graying hair and stubble and he looks tired and worn out. How could he let this happen to himself? And he’s not playing a nice guy either - he’s a hit man no less. What has the world come to?
But have no fear - he still looks cool, talks soft and low and has the moves. The premise is silly - Cruise is a hit man named Vincent and he hails a cab to go about his rounds. Now, which is sillier - that a hit man would hire a cabbie to drive him to his rubout appointments or that anyone in L.A. actually rides in a cab?
It reminds me of one of the unintentionally funny lines in the movie, spoken by a cop - he says “do you know there are four thousand cabs in L.A. County - how are we supposed to find this one?” Only four thousand? You could probably find that many in a four block area of Manhattan. (more…)

Radio hosts to ’sacrifice’ GOP waffler
The top-rated Los Angeles radio talk-show team is asking its listeners to punish the Republican Party for waffling on illegal immigration by sacrificing a California congressman - politically speaking. John Kobylt and Ken Chiampou, hosts of “The John & Ken Show” on KFI-AM, have enlisted their audience to identify and target for defeat one local Republican congressman they deem soft on issues such as border security and benefits for undocumented aliens. The duo, who call their plan a “political human sacrifice,” say it is meant as a wake-up call to Republican leaders who ignore their constituents’ pleas for stronger border enforcement for fear of offending Hispanic voters or the agriculture industry. New Evidence Delays Laci Trial
Scott Peterson’s murder trial will be delayed until early next week so that the defense can investigate recently discovered evidence, the judge announced Thursday after a closed-door session with the lawyers. Defense lawyer Mark Geragos said outside court that the evidence is “potentially exculpatory” and was “reluctantly” turned over by the prosecution. Trial testimony is expected to resume on Tuesday.
