Welcome to the official web site for the Duluth band Low

A Note from Low: July 2004
We are pleased to announce a few things that are going on with us recently. Some may be old news to some of you, but we're doing our best...

• Mimi and Alan have a new baby boy named Cyrus, born on june 5th. He was 24 inches long and 10 and a half pounds - this is a fairly large child, for those of you who are not familiar with the range of possibilities. Everyone is doing fine, despite the fact that Cyrus seems to be very upset about the government from about 11pm to 4am, some nights.
• As we mentioned recently, the Low Box Set is out July 20th and is available from a number of different soarces (see previous postings...)
• Beyond the documentary by Marc Gartman that is included in the Box Set, there is another Low documentary that has been made recently about the band recently on tour in Europe. The film is called "LOW IN EUROPE" and was directed by Sebastien Schrade. It will be showing at some festivals very soon and my be available for purchase on DVD soon. There is a website up with all the info at low-in-europe.com.

Have a great summer.
Alan.

The Low Discussion List

As always, the best way to stay on top of news about the band and to discuss their music (and related music) is to subscribe to Eric Lyman's mailing list. (This is the sequel to Jon Liddiard's list, which died in late April 1999). There is no digest version of this list available. Before joining, you might want to read through some frequently-asked questions. The instructions for joining the list (from Eric) are as follows:

  • To post a message: send all comments and remarks to: low[at]blessed1054.com this is not a moderated list so all messages should go through right away, but I will reserve the right to unsubscribe anyone who I feel is not using the list in an appropriate manner (excessive flaming and general disrespect).
