A bird’s-eye view
HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah (AFPN) -- Airman 1st Class Dean Martinez provides a perch for a frequent visitor to a gate here. The friendly bird has visited Airman Martinez and other 75th Security Forces Squadron Airmen during the morning rush hour for the past three weeks. Hurricane chasers gear up for Charley
MACDILL AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. (AFPN) -- Mother Nature is poised to unleash hurricane-force winds and torrential downpours here in the wee hours of Aug. 13 from Hurricane Charley. While most people at MacDill have battened down the hatches and headed away from danger, the pilots and meteorologists at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration grabbed their gear to head directly into the storm.
