To make sure Globe of Blogs has the most accurate weblog listings online, link checking is currently underway. The last time we did this (in February) we pulled over 1500 dead links from the database.

If you find that your weblog is no longer listed, it is most likely because you have changed your weblog location or your site has not been updated in several months and does not contain any archives. If this is the case, you are invited and encouraged to re-submit your site.

New submissions and change requests will still be accepted during this time, but may not show up for a few days.

The fourth round of link checking is set to take place in about three weeks. If your submitted site is out-of-date or no longer active, we encourage you to submit your new listing as any broken or inactive links will be removed.

I was out of state for the last week with no access to the (huge) queue, so updates and additions will commence within a few days.

The organizers of the Blogathon are taking a much-deserved break this year, so the folks at Project Blog have stepped up to the plate to provide a charity-driven excuse to stay up and blog for 24 hours.

The project starts Saturday, July 24 at 8:00am US EST (click here to check your local start time). Participants find their own sponsors, choose their own charity and are expected to update their weblog every 30 minutes for 24 consecutive hours.
