As truthout enters its second year of providing our readers with critical news and commentary on world events we are happy with the growth of this project. Truthout currently reaches a quarter of a million readers per month. Our staff and volunteers have increased from 1 to 8 in the last year. We have received a wonderful response from our readers who daily tell us that truthout is providing them with valuable information.

However financially, we need your help. Currently, we are not receiving enough money to meet our weekly expenses. The growth of truthout has necessitated upgrading to a faster server, paying for newsletter distribution and hiring staff to increase our ability to provide the most up to date critical information that our readers have come to expect from truthout.

We provide this service free of charge and depend solely on donations from our readers to meet our expenses. This allows us to remain independent without any pressure to modify our editorial policy to please funding sources. If you find truthout to be a valuable source of information and want our efforts to continue, and continue to expand then please donate what you can to insure that we have the funds necessary to continue to provide you with up to date, critical news and commentary on world events.
