The Tungsten T5 photos and news surfaced last week were a hoax. Read about it on the source of the hoax: 1src.
We at least had the word rumors in the story headline, so its not that bad of a mistake. Anyway sorry, such things happen in a Gadget News hungry world.

Forget the Robosapien, here is the real deal. Sozbots exclusively sells a "fighting" Robot Kit from Japan called Kondo KHR-1. This robot is for instance used in the Robo-One Robot Fighting Tournaments ( Robo-One Vidoes).
The Kondo KHR-1 Robot is 34cm high and weighs 1.2kg. The Robot comes unassembled in a box full of little parts and servos. The control unit of the Kondo KHR-1 communicates via RS-232 cable with a PC. I guess some more hacking is necessary to make the robot wireless. The servos are highly controlable and especially made to move robot limbs. The Software bundled with the robot works on Windows XP and 2000. More details on sozbot's Robo-One-USA site.
Sozbots sells the Kondo KHR-1 for $1,645.00 plus $17 shipping. This is some investment and clearly only something for the real robot fan. The others should rather stick with the Robosapien. I applaud sozbots to bring the Robot culture to the US.
See also the Kondo KHR-1 product site (Japanese).
