Stars to the Rescue XIII presented by

This year's gala at the Dean Lesher Regional Center for the Arts in Walnut Creek on Saturday, January 10 was a rousing success.

The sell-out crowd was treated the musical genius of Chris Isaak, Emmylou Harris, Grammy Award winning jazz band, the Yellowjackets, Super Diamond, a Neil Diamond tribute band and Tom Johnston of the Doobie Brothers. Comedian Don Novello, aka Father Guido Sarducci of Saturday Night Live fame, entertained the crowd with his "white chairs" humor, and Moving Arts Dance with Devon La Russa, premiered "Upstream". Very special thanks to Marc Russo and the All-Star band who have been a mainstay of Stars to the Rescue for many years.

ARF Rocks! Friday, January 9th

Glenn and Diane Colacurci were honored with ARF's annual Evie award, named after ARF's famous Oakland Coliseum cat, for their excellence in the compassionate care of companion animals. SBC received ARF's prestigious Hope award, for embodying the bond between people and animals.
