The final three books in the Hitchhiker 'trilogy' are being adapted for Radio 4 in two new series starting in September 2004 and May 2005.

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy famously described the Earth as "Mostly Harmless".

The Cast
Most of the original radio cast have been reunited for the new series and they are joined by new stars including William Franklin as The Voice of the Book and Richard Griffiths as Slartibartfast.
Behind the Scenes
Director Dirk Maggs tells the story of the adaptation of 'The Tertiary Phase', from Douglas Adams' original proposal in 1993 to the recording sessions in 2004 and plans for the final Phases in 2005.

The New Series

The first series of 6 new episodes begins on Tuesday 21 September at 6.30pm, with repeats on Thursdays at 11.00pm




Each episode will be available for 7 days following the Thursday evening repeats.
