HORROR DRUNX!!!!! [25 Sep 2002|09:54am]

spook_frolic
[ mood | crappy ]

The idea of the http://www.horrordrunx.com/ website… is for I, Mortimer and my best bud Pigpen to hit the road and have our pictures taken in front of as many horror movie sites as possible within the next year or so. It may sound easy enough, but there is a twist; every picture will be taken in the middle of the day with us drinking 40oz in front of the old movie sites. Illegal? Yes. Fun? Yes. Psycotic? Maybe.
We have a camera, we (almost) have a car, we have our motive, we have no money and we have a nasty drinking habit. But when there's a will, there's a way...
Any support will help, we're looking for any sort of sponsership, any donations, places to sleep, and any other help as we venture across the country...

DRINKING AT THE NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET HOUSE!!!!!!

VHS HORROR FLICKS 4-SALE! [30 Jun 2002|03:32pm]

excessmonument
I need money, so I'm selling my VHS horror collection. I love all of these movies and I'm hoping to upgrade them to DVD as soon as I can. All of these are in excellent condition. I'm selling them cheap. I'm shipping them priority, so add $4 to the prices. If you buy in bulk, I will decrease the prices considerably. If you're interested, e-mail me and we'll work from there. It's first come, first serve. I only have one of each of these titles. Don't miss out on this deal.

E-mail Deepred@mail.com.

Thanks.

WIDESCREEN VHS

ARMY OF DARKNESS
Anchor Bay Collector's Edition

Classic film, the third in Sam Raimi's Evil Dead Trilogy, starring Bruce Campbell. Features linear notes, original ending, trailer and a behind-the-scenes segment. Probably the best VHS version of this film you can have. $6

ZOMBIE
Anchor Bay Collector's Edition

The definitive Italian zombie gross-out, directed by the late, great Lucio Fulci. Contains linear notes, trailer and TV/radio segments. Tons of blood, gore and impaled eyeballs. A true horror classic. $6

HALLOWEEN
Anchor Bay Anniversary Edition

The classic '80s slasher. The first and best of its series. Includes trailer. $4

CHILDREN SHOULDN'T PLAY WITH DEAD THINGS
Anchor Bay Collector's Edition

One of my all-time favorite zombie flicks, and it's not even that gory. The film triumphs on creepy music and atmosphere, and a quirky cast of unknowns. Contains linear notes and trailer. Truly like an EC comic coming to life. $6

TENEBRE (Unsane)
Anchor Bay's Dario Argento Collection

Phenomenally stylish thriller from renown horror guru Dario Argento. Very gory with a killer soundtrack from, who else, GOBLIN! The most uncut VHS version of this film you'll ever find. Contains linear notes, trailer and two behind-the-scenes featurettes. $6

EVIL DEAD II
Anchor Bay Collector's Edition

The best VHS version you'll find of this amazing cult classic. Features linear notes, trailer, a behind-the-scenes segment ("The Gore the Merrier") and a preview of the Evil Dead video game. $6

LETS SLEEPING CORPSES LIE
Anchor Bay Collector's Edition

Classic European zombie flick from the '70s, featuring TV/radio segments, poster/still gallery and a rare interview with director Jorge Grau. Very cool. $6

DAY OF THE DEAD
Anchor Bay Collector's Edition

Your horror collection is not complete without the amazing finale in George Romero's classic trilogy. Contains trailer, linear notes and exclusive behind-the-scenes footage. Own it. $6

I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE
Anchor Bay Collector's Edition

A true Video Nasty. A sleazy exploitation favorite about a woman taking revenge upon the men who raped her. In all its original uncut glory, including the shocking castration scene! It'll leave you saying, "Daaaaamn, you go, girl!" Includes trailer. $6

DEMONS
Anchor Bay Dario Argento Collection

Produced by Argento, and directed by Lamberto Bava. Such a great horror film. Cheesy and stylish with amazing special-effects, and a pumping hard rock soundtrack (Motley Crue, Accept, Rick Springfield). Highly, and I mean highly, recommended to fans of Evil Dead. Includes linear notes, trailer and a behind-the-scenes segment. $6

THE NEW YORK RIPPER
Anchor Bay Lucio Fulci Collection

Fulci's sleazy '80s classic about a Duck-voiced serial killer creeping the streets of NYC. Uncut with a twist ending. Good times. Contains linear notes and trailer. $6

NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD
Anchor Bay 30th Anniversary Edition

Revised classic with great picture, packaging and sound, as well as a brand new musical score. Also contains 15 minutes of new footage, directed by three of the film's original creators. Almost like an entirely different movie. Some like what was done, others hate it and prefer the original version. You decide. $6

THE BEYOND
Anchor Bay Lucio Fulci Collection

My favorite Fulci film, and one of the best and most gory zombie flicks ever made. So shocking and violent that even Anchor Bay slapped a warning label on this one. You must own this. Contains linear notes and trailer. $6

DEMONS 2
Anchor Bay Dario Argento Collection

Although not nearly as phenomenal as the original, this solid sequel, produced and directed again by Argento and Bava, continues to run circles around the many American-made horror films of the '80s. We've got cool special effects, a cameo by the lovely Asian Argento, Dario's daughter, and a killer soundtrack featuring the Smiths, Peter Murphy, Love and Rockets and the Cult! Contains linear notes and trailer. $6

LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT
Uncut Canadian Print

One of the best, and most complete VHS versions of this disturbing '70s cult shocker, written and director by Wes Craven. The gore and teenage rape scenes propelled this at the top of the Video Nasty list and was banned for many years until horribly cut versions were domestically released. The complete version of this film has still never been sold in stores, thus causing dubbed copies to circulate from collector to collector. See what the fuss is about. Contains a color cover, but don't expect much since it's still a bootlegged copy. $10

CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST
Uncut/Uncensored via Cult Epics

"The mother of all cannibal movies," indeed. Classic cult favorite from Ruggero Deodato. Lots of people can't stomach this film and it remains banned and unreleased in many countries, including the United States. Contains brutal scenes of rape, dismemberment, castration and real animal killings. Behind its gory barbarism, this film is a sophisticated and an amazingly well-done piece of cinema. Like, Last House on the Left, this is a bootlegged copy with a full-color cover. $10

Hi, I'm a newbie. I REALLY love horror movies in general (favorite movie
is the Exorcist), but I'm partial to gory movies with religious twists.

As far as the B, indie, etc. films go, I recommend:
Dead Alive
Slumber Party Massacre I & II
Mirror Mirror
Pep Squad

Anyone else seen these or have other recommendations for me?

Hey there fellow wierdos, perverts and purveyers of the fine arts, and welcome to GoreFilm the community for people who love movies that make the weak squeal and the average female vomit. Where those who enjoy such fine films and works of beauty can post there thoughts, reviews, suggestions and anything else they feel like stating about good movies. If like me you also truly enjoy regular indie films then feel free to post about that too but try to remember gore is prefered in this community. So lets get this shindig started.
