Hi i'm going to Berlin tomorrow and will stay there for 3 days. Are there some people who live in berlin and go out on thuesday and wednesday? Are there some places i'm not allowed to miss?? please tell me!

Blackplanet news is just a humble site that I run myself (*laugh* it'll never go anywhwere...) The Underground is a local Gothic Industrial Club in Saskatoon, sk as well. Time to bust out with those sexy reds...

Now, perhaps this deals with the clubs, perhaps this deals with the length of time the scene has been around, I don't know... THUS, why I'm posting this in a community and leaving this topic up for debate.
How many people are beginning to notice or feel the effects of the generation gaps within our subculture?
From the late 70's/early 80's eldergoths, the 90's second wave, and whatever it is now?
Going to a club, or running into kindergoths now, it's depressing to see that most either have no idea who Siouxie and the Banshees are, or the Sisters of Mercy, Joy Division, or just despise their work altogether and now it's been replaced by something called "emo".
I would like to end this with the note that these are general topics of debate, and yes, perhaps with the accumulation of age, years, and growing out of touch, that I too feel this gap like a dinosaur growing extinct.
I leave this open for you to discuss amongst yourselves. I'm interested in the opinions on how the gothic subculture has diversified and, well, I know it will be hard for many of you to come up with a solid conclusion seeing how the concept is alike a neo-rennasaince based on individuals who created a herd mentality, when each of those individuals are the sum of many seperate herd mentailities themselves.

The movie that started off as a sequel to Labyrinth, 'MirrorMask,' written by Neil Gaiman and directed by Dave McKean, and eventually became its own movie has just released its first trailer.



'MirrorMask' centers on Helena, a 15 year old girl in a family of circus entertainers, who often wishes she could run off and join real life. After a fight with her parents about her future plans, her mother falls quite ill and Helena is convinced that it is all her fault. On the eve of her mother's major surgery, she dreams that she is in a strange world with two opposing queens, bizarre creatures, and masked inhabitants. All is not well in this new world - the white queen has fallen ill and can only be restored by the MirrorMask, and it's up to Helena to find it. But as her adventures continue, she begins to wonder whether she's in a dream, or something far more sinister.

I'll be throwing everything evil I can in between the bands on Saturday, October 16th for the 9th Annual Bizarre Vampire Bazaar, so come out and dance, dance, dance. ^_^
