Is there a Guinness Record for bionic loaves of bread?
I've been eating off of a loaf of Freihofer's bread that supposedly expired April 6, but I'll be damned if this bread still isn't as fresh as the day I bought it.
In other news, I am done with genetics as of tomorrow. Thank goddess for open book finals.

New pope. This is what the New York Times had to say:
His well-known stands include the assertion that Catholicism is the "truth" and other religions are "deficient"; the spiritual weakness of the modern, secular world; a sense that Catholicism is in competition with Islam; and opposition to homosexuality, women as priests and stem cell research.
Great. It's nice to know in times of great change, Catholic leadership still insists on being fucking ridiculous.

It makes me very sad to see people going about things the wrong way.
There's an anti-Iraq occupation "protest" going on at William and Mary in about a week. Speaking as someone who could be certainly labeled as liberal, I don't understand why other liberals insist on doing things that get us labeled as whiny, ineffectual jerks.
Why don't people do things to actually help the soldiers? People could spend an afternoon putting together care packages to ship overseas, but instead they'd rather spit forth inflammatory speeches and bitch about how messed up the government is.
Far be it from me to side with Republican leadership, ever, but I wish the youth of America would understand that there are productive ways to expend time and energy into a cause and into helping people, rather than sitting in the Sunken Gardens for an afternoon talking about shit, being "politically conscious", and then returning back to their self-absorbed worlds for a few mugs at the Leafe afterwards.

Here's a good place to check out all the emo/goth, punkass high school kids that are turning my hometown into a shithole.
Thanks, guys, for ensuring that I can never enjoy a trip to Starbuck's, the Islip Movie Theater, or a nice walk home from Hutley's, since you've invaded Main Street like a bunch of drug-dealing roaches. Don't be surprised if I jump the sidewalk and mow you down with my car, and then celebrate your demise with LB and a cold brew.
Assholes.

If "heaven" is going to be full of fundamentalist Christians, "hell" is going to be a fucking blast.
Not like I believe in either one of those things, but if I'm going to hell, I'm going with a 40 in each hand, ready to party. Then I can finally be left alone to my open-minded, sinful devices.

This whole "sunset being later" thing is giving me a royal mindfuck...I leave lab thinking it's like 3:00, when it is in fact 7:00. Which is nice, but it really makes me think that I have tons more time on my hands than I actually do.
It was incredibly beautiful here this weekend. It actually broke 70 on Sunday, and I realized just how miserable the winter weather here makes me.
Not much else to report....since Jeff is apparently a worthless pile of breathing cells, I am currently free to pursue my "relationship" with the Fratty Wonder. Why is it that guys always just pussy out and stop calling, instead of mustering up the testicular fortitude to actually tell you to fuck off?
Actually, upon reviewing the relationship playbook, it turns out I *always* date/want-to-date guys with huge, weeping vaginas. Shame on me, then. :p

*sigh* I just got outbid on a rad pair of lime green sneakers on Ebay...there's still an hour left in the auction, but I really can't afford them anyway, so it's probably for the best.
But damn, those sneakers were hot.
I have spent 7 out of the last 36 hours shopping....is that weird? :p

I just posted a ranty Pope-related entry, but I think it can be organized neatly into the following statement: America's love affair with Christianity sucks.
And my fucking pirate watch is broken. (I don't think this is Christianity's fault, but if I have to point fingers....) *sigh*
Instead, I am going to channel my frustration into a partial list of things that I really particularly enjoy right now, solely to make myself smile:
( the list, bitches )
Ahhh, I feel much better.
