I don't drink much pop, soda, coke or whatever you want to call it... I thought this was interesting enough to share.

Caffeinated kids

True or false: A cup of Häagen-Dazs coffee ice cream has more caffeine than a can of Coke.

Tammy

I found it on retrocrush.com

"Meet my parent's old neighbor, Crazy Tammy. She's been gone from the neighborhood for about nine months now, hopefully getting the treatment she so sorely needed. From what I understand, and from what others have told me, Crazy Tammy is a textbook case of paranoid schizophrenia. We would have never known about her terrible mental problem if she hadn't advertised her insane views on giant sheets of cloth hung from her fence."

"Feel sexy with the alternative to cosmic surgery."

I saw this ad when I finished sending an email.

The only two things I did in Photoshop was to blur the email address and the sites I was visiting at that moment, and to add the red circle and the arrow.

This ad apparently advertises a cream that, when applied, will melt the fat away from one's body or something like that.

Apparently, this product works just a little bit too well. *snerk*

I'm trying to also get across a wide audience as possible and if you think this impacts your future positively, please pass the information on asap!

Urgent!
Congress is about to vote on amending the U.S. Constitution to deny marriage equality to same-sex couples.

Never before has our Constitution been amended to take away anyone's rights. Yet our Senators will vote on this amendment in the next 48 hours.

It's urgent that we speak up now. This hateful divisiveness has no place in America. Please join me in saying so, at:

http://www.moveon.org/unitednotdivided/

Equality in marriage is the civil rights issue of our generation. We can't let anyone, or any group, be singled out for discrimination based on who they are or who they love.

Thank you.

[info]sauce1977rm: On Order of Play in Concert.

I have a very bare understanding of the musical group Danzig.

In fact, I only knew they did the tune "Mother," which was one of those over-the-top hardcore rock tunes back a few years . . .

However, it appears that this incident in Arizona is making it around quite a few blocks of the internet.

See a screen capture from the video. )

Apparently, Danzig was to play with North Side Kings at a show in Tube City, AZ, on July 3rd.

Here is the link from Blistering.com (which took it from Blabbermouth.net):

http://www.blistering.com/fastpage/fpengine.php/link/1/templateid/7392/tempidx/1/menuid/1

For some reason, Danzig decided to go before many of the bands that showed up to play.

No one really has this information on a quick search with any kind of detail about the whys and the hows, but one thing I know without a doubt . . .

When you are the biggest group to play at a concert, you go after everyone else has played. The last spot is reserved for the biggest act.

This is common knowlege, and it applies to any genre of music in any concert. The member of the North Side Kings confronted the guy from Danzig about this. And then, this happened.

See one of the two .gifs from Blabbermouth.net, behind the cut . . . )

Already, the North Side Kings website has been shut down due to the massive traffic beyond the bandwith capability.

I was lucky enough to find a full video somewhere, but I'm left as an outsider with little true understanding.

I do realize from web research that Danzig played in the home state of North Side Kings . . . I also think that after Danzig was to leave early, they were going to take their equipment with them, thus making the rest of the show an anti-climax. North Side Kings were upset because they had made a 6 hour trip to play, only to have Danzig steal all the thunder by leaving early.

This could generate major interest in North Side Kings, but in light of the months-ago altercation between Jack White and Jason Stollsteimer (White Stripes vs. Von Bondies), what are the boundaries of acceptable publicity-boost?

If I ever see Britney Spears sell more albums because of a sudden slap-fight with Christina Aguilera, I'm not sure what to think.

This video reminds me more of early years of school, but for many, it's straight out of high school.
